I had the same thing happen last night, where the car had been on the charger for several hours but the app did not show updated numbers. Then I closed, re-opened, and refreshed the app and everything was working again.
I got 2.7.4 on June 16, then 2.8.1 failed on June 18. I haven't received a numbered update since then. I did get the recall update and the fast charging update. The update issues have been frustrating to mildly infuriating.

Based on what I see upthread, at least I'm not alone.
Pardon my ignorance on this. Where do I search for and find the widgets? The Mobile Apps screen says to go to the App Catalog. I searched this forum for the location. Sounds like it was in the FordPass app on the phone, but has been removed. Am I S.O.L on being able to download the widget?
I had similar problems with 2.7.2. At the advice of this forum, I did the following:
1. Make sure 12v battery is fully charged.
2. Turn headlights to OFF; not Auto
3. go into settings and turn off welcome lights.
Once I did those things, 2.7.2 and 2.7.4 installed with no problem. 2.8.1 failed...
I took the car for a drive to fully charge the 12V, turned headlamps to OFF, and turned off the welcome lighting. And the 2.7.2 update installed with no issues... other than the ones previously reported by others (radio presets reset, etc).

I absolutely love my MME! I have had it for about a month and have absolutely no regrets. Any complaints I have so far are nits. Sure, the FordPass app is not good, but also not necessary in order to drive the car. And I know the app will improve, as will the car overall, with OTA software updates.
I will start by saying I LOVE my MME. But, the FordPass app is the hottest garbage Iāve ever seen. Itās almost impressive how bad it is. Iāve never seen an app like it.
