Make sure you have the Parking Assist Prep Kit, if that didn't get added (in the last month) you won't get built. Either your dealer or calling Ford 800-334-4375 should be able to check.I spoke with Ford chat and my order is listed as "Unscheduled - Balance Out". Anyone had something similar? Does that mean it's to be in the last group of cars made for 2022, or that it might switch over to 23?
This Ford Canada form does not look good to me (im in the US):
https://www.fleet.ford.ca/content/d...new-order-status/Order_Status_Definitions.pdf
"Model Year Balance Out
Vehicle production for this model and model year is complete. The order will not be built "
Would be kind of nuts though - I ordered 11/11/21.
For sure. My dealership seems to have a plethora of dealer ordered SR Selects rolling onto the lot. I’m fully aware that these are the models Ford happened to have the parts for, but it sure would be nice to see more of those retail orders get scheduled. But that "retail scheduling only" tho...
I’m ready to be hurt again
It will appear fairly random. The two biggest factors are the trim ordered (and options) and the dealer who the order is through (and what state/region they are in). There is also the Priority Code associated with the order, but that appears to mainly adjust your place in line within your dealers orders.I'm new to the production-scheduling show. How do we determine which orders will be scheduled for production next week? Is it a crap shoot or are orders made on a certain date usually scheduled for production together?
so that is what I contacted Ford today for. I had asked my dealer and he literally had never heard of it lol. Ford said today there didnt seem to be anything requiring change on my order. So I’m left confused…Make sure you have the Parking Assist Prep Kit, if that didn't get added (in the last month) you won't get built. If you talked to them on the chat feature on the website I would give them a call. They seem to have more access to information when you call in my experience. Ask specifically if your order includes the Parking Assist Prep Kit. If it doesn't your dealer is going to have to add or approve it.so that is what I contacted Ford today for. All sorts of info about this. My dealer said that putting the prep kit and removing the feature would "significantly accelerate" my order. I did, but I have zero faith. Maybe it will reduce from 14 to 11 months.so that is what I contacted Ford today for. I had asked my dealer and he literally had never heard of it lol. I just want to give you a shoutout for posting this. After calling in, my vehicle was adjusted. My dealer had more than a dozen sitting with this status because they had understood these park assist kits were all automatically being swapped in, rather than sitting with an "incompatible build" status. Thank you.Make sure you have the Parking Assist Prep Kit, if that didn't get added (in the last month) you won't get built. Either your dealer or calling Ford 800-334-4375 should be able to check.
Me too, friend. Me too.I’m ready to be hurt again
You're welcome, I kind of get the impression that all dealers needed to approve the addition of the Prep Kit and some didn't realize it, like yours. However, when I talked to my dealer to check about a month ago they didn't seem to know anything about it either, but when I called Ford they confirmed I already had the Prep Kit added. Might just be that some dealers have a person that focuses on orders and tracking them and routinely approves things like this when they come in from Ford (I get this impression about my dealer).I just want to give you a shoutout for posting this.
