April ‘21 build, SR AWD Select. Average ~90 miles RT 5 days a week on rural western WA roads w/rain, wind, ice, animals, & road debris. PAAK to monitor, FOB to drive. Charge at home ~ 95% of time, typically to 80%. Decent headlights. Quiet. When heat necessary (mostly defogging).. use 1 bar auto & set temp to 67-69 F. Dependable. EA charging occasionally on rare long 1,000+ mile trips, but seamless. Looks to need tires at ~50K+. Window re-glued then a rock took it out. Year-round average 3.5 mi/KWh. Saved $8,000 net over fueling a 20-21 mpg STA Adrenalin (4.6 V8). The MME is a good vehicle. We’d buy one again.

Ford Mustang Mach-E 19 months & 40K miles later… 49ADD9E2-9645-4549-AE6D-E995B008951F

Nice summary. My experiences are similar. I changed my tires at 50k but they might have gone about 5k further if I needed them to. Lifetime average is 3.3 mi/kWh according to the display which seems fairly accurate. I average 32k miles/yr and my calculated fuel savings is around $7k per year compared to my previous ICE vehicle. Very satisfied to be driving electric these days....

The Select AWD is really very efficient. I loved mine, but I needed that extra range, and I wanted to go faster, so GTPE it was. I got my HVJB replaced on my Select AWD, and then traded up. Im looking forward to another HVJB failure, and I will deal with it then.

Ours had sat on the lot for two weeks when we stopped by to see what was available to replace the ailing Edge Sport. Turned out to be a sweet deal July of ‘21. I’d really like a GT, though!

Thanks for reporting on the longevity of the car. It is a great vehicle. I wouldn't buy one again though.

I’ve had a similar experience with a MachE First Edition!! Built in 12/20, delivered 4/21. 33K miles, replaced tires at 30K. I’m averaging 2.8miles/KW, charge normally to 90%. The HVB SOH (measured through an OBD dongle) is 94.5% and it shows battery age of 24 months. I’ve only ever charged at home with a Grizzle charger. Had the issue with my seats tearing on the perforation, but no big deal, fixed under Warranty. Updates all show up timely, some are welcome, others not so much :).

The car is an absolute joy to drive in Texas, but we don’t have the cold that others do.

Same seat thread pulling issue fixed under warranty. Looks like the tires will last till say 47000 thousand. 50K if down to 1-2/32s

I now have 39k miliage, Premium ER AWD, hvbjb replaced twice , half-shaft replaced twice, both puddle lights, both a-pillars replaced (they cracked really badly) Airbag replaced (probably a faulty module update) driver's seat pad replaced, Motor coolant pump replaced (due to one of the hvbjb replacements...) replaced tires at 31k. and a freaking squeak I can't find the source of.

While that does sound like a lot of replacements, it is a 12/20 build that I purchased off the lot in July 21. It is an early example of a build (still waiting on my frunk button!) First year cars always have a ton of problems. @Ford Motor Company stepped up and gave me an extended warranty for keeping my car in the shop for over 2 months at a time. I think the build 1 cars should all get extended warranties because of the early build problems....

I love my car, and only would trade it in for a 23(or possibly a frunk button)

Our build was like late Job 1 and I’m frankly surprised we’ve not had problems. Our recent 40K “service” was mostly dealer software updates (i.e. HVAC software updates) that required dealer service. I’m a pretty conservative driver thus the 40K miles are easy and similar day over day commutes. Not sure on battery efficiency but probably lost a few percentage points. Very consistent on the L2 charging to 80-85%. Longer trips are DCFC to 80%. One quirk was the inclusion of folding mirrors of which an OTA software update rendered useless. We got the spare FOB and extended warranty and those actions were a good Ford move. BTW, once I figured out the Tesla service center was 120 miles away that was the real convincer because the Ford dealership is 20 miles distant.

A year from now it’ll have 65K+.
