Flat Tire with a good roadside experience via FordPass app

Hey all,

Wife got a flat today on the Beltway in DMV area this evening. She the thinks it was a piece of pipe. Unfortunately, with traffic on either side and on her ass, it was kind of an unavoidable situation. Anyway, she did everything though the FordPass app and within 40 min a flatbed was there and loaded it up.

Figured I’d post a good news story as I’ve read a lot of bad experiences. Now we’ll see what the dealer says tomorrow about the availability of a tire. I already ordered one from Tire Rack that’ll be here Monday, so we’ll see who’s quicker/cheaper!

Not on my Mach E, but our Fusion Energi while my wife was in VA she hit a pothole and shredded two tires. Same kind of great service with Ford getting our car to a Ford dealer. Nice to see other good news.

Update: Dealer (Sheehy Ford Of Springfield) will have the tire by 11am tomorrow. $340 tire/mount/balance +$85 if i want the front end alignment.

Does that include the nitrogen in the tire too? I noticed you had green caps on the valve stems.

I'm assuming so, probably in the included cost.

Yeah these tires are pricey

Unfortunately tires have a load of petroleum ingredients in them and tire prices are up as well.

That's going to be everything, Tire, valvestem kit, mount, balance, disposal, tax. Tire Rack has em for 248.08/ea, but you're gonna get charged taking it someplace for them to mount it.

Did the car have a diagram of the tow hook points to avoid damage pulling the vehicle onto the tow truck flatbed? Or did they pull from wrapping the tires?

It was driven on the bed.

Just wanted to close this out. Car was completed by Friday as promised. We had plans to go out of town friday morning, so we opted to just take our other vehicle. Stopped to pick it up on Monday and ended up walking out with one of these. Funny how that works...
