The EA press release:

Celebrating Earth Day with Free Charging Sessions from Electrify America

The largest ultra-fast open charging network in America is offering free charging sessions to electric vehicle drivers to celebrate the sustainability benefits of electric mobility
Reston, VA (April 20, 2021) -- On Earth Day, Thursday April 22, electric vehicle owners will get free charging sessions at all Electrify America ultra-fast charging stations.
Electric vehicle drivers can locate a charging station by visiting the Electrify America website.
The company will not charge EV drivers for sessions starting at 12:00 a.m. EDT April 22 on through to 3:00 a.m. EDT April 23.
“Driving electric is an impactful action consumers can take to help reduce their carbon footprint, and Electrify America is excited to offer free charging sessions on Earth Day to celebrate that,” said Giovanni Palazzo, president and CEO of Electrify America. “We are proud to help lead an electric vehicle revolution by enabling electric transportation for all Americans, on Earth Day and every day.”
The company is encouraging EV drivers to take advantage of the free charging sessions and to share their commitment to an electric lifestyle to their social followers by using the hashtag #ChargeOnEarth to help foster grassroots support for Earth Day.
Electrify America has more than 589 charging stations across the U.S., with over 2,500 individual DC fast chargers. Since opening its first charging stations in May 2018, Electrify America has set a rapid pace for its network expansion, opening an average of nearly four stations per week. By the end of 2021, Electrify America plans to install or have under development approximately 800 total charging stations with about 3,500 DC fast chargers.

Ah, but won't your dealer give it back to you 100% charged?
The body shop is not part of the dealership. It's the bodyshop they recommend and work with closely, though.

Besides, it's the thought that counts, right?

I don't have a home charger (been using a free Volta nearby since I don't drive much during the week). So will definitely take advantage of this - thanks for posting!

What's the over/under on how many of the EA charging stations are actually operational tomorrow? Considering my experience so far with EA in Michigan, I'm going with "30%."

Oops. I just charged back up at home last night. Coulda saved $5 if I’d waited two days.

Fun idea for EA. Good for them. Even though I’ve never gotten P&C to work and Ive had problems even starting a charge through FordPass, I have always been SUPER impressed by EA itself. Their customer service, which I’ve had to call several times, is top notch.
