Yup.. gonna try a list of Ford dealerships who do not charge ADM (additional dealer markup).

For those of you with C8 vettes on order as well, I think we are rapidly entering an era where customers can be honest with OEMs:
NO ONE likes constant renegotiation and adversarial relationships where stress becomes part of the buying experience.
Negotiations with dealers sucks.
Get rid of it?

Can we sticky a list of dealers doing no ADM like the C8 site?

I emailed my two closest dealers. One hasn’t responded and one hadn’t received any pricing information yet.

So - I've gotten an e-mail from my local Ford dealer that I selected when reserving (thanking me and letting me know they'll handle it all, and to let them know if I have questions).

Do you all just ask "Hey, do you or will you be charging an ADM for the Mach-E?"? Does having the option of using X-plan pricing change whether a dealer can charge an ADM? I figured most pricing stuff wouldn't be available till mid next year when we can actually order...

I've never dealt with ADM stuff, only the dumb dealer added crap like paint protection and BS (which I've never paid for or accepted). I've assumed that since we'll be placing the order ourselves through Ford, I'd have the ability to be in contact with my dealer letting them know that I don't want them doing any additional dealer stuff. (This is the way it's worked for me placing an order through the dealer before, was much nicer getting exactly what I wanted vs what they had on the lot).

At this point, I have just been asking about the ADM because that’s dealer specific, and gives you time to find a dealer that will not charge an ADM. I believe X plan pricing is specific to Ford itself, meaning it’s a yes or no for all dealers.
As far as the extra add on stuff, like paint protection, that would be a conversation when you place your final order.

Saw this on https://www.greencarreports.com/new...-in-the-2021-ford-mustang-mach-e-electric-suv

(2) It will be sold online (Ford says)

Ford says buyers will be able to put down a $500 online deposit to reserve a Mach-E. Not terribly surprising. But, it says, they’ll also be able to specify the car, place the order, and pay for it online as well. Just like … well, Tesla.

So look like it confirms the earlier internet rumors of you order online and just ship it to a dealer and ford chucks that dealer a bonus. Will have to see but if so that means sure its is MSRP but no ADM with depending on where you are may or may not be a problem on the west coast it is certainly a problem, as a few large dealers grab all the allocations.

Does anyone know if you can change the dealer after you have made a reservation? If I find that the dealer is going to stick me with ADM, then the deal is off. Just curious how Ford will handle?

Yes, go to your Ford account/profile/reservation to cancel your reservation, and then re-reserve with the new dealer. It takes a few days to get your deposit back from the canceled reservation.

i don’t think you can change the dealer on your current reservation. I believe the only option is to cancel and make a new one

Update: called Ford today and was told that you can change the dealer later in the process. The lady I spoke to said sometime in May I could go to the dealer I want to work with (aka no ADM) and they will be able to assist with changing to their dealership. I assume that if this is done before signing any contracts. So I have contacted the new dealer and they are on board with it. Am glad because I chose a first edition and it looks like they are all filled, no more slots available.
