For pre June 21 built cars, the Sync4 update issues have persisted for 5 months and are well documented by hundreds of owners (a statistically relevant sample). My car is in the shop as we speak, and I was told to pick it up because they cannot fix it. I absolutely love nearly everything about the car, hence my posting the CR recognition, but the software glitches on the GUI are well-documented.

Which is worse, selling so well that you sell out the entire 2022 run in February, or churning out cars so fast that there's a shorter wait for a lesser car?

My MME is at the dealer now for a second fob Ford Corp is providing. Two service advisors have told me over the last month the MME has so many software issues and agreed most people really like the MME but say the software sucks.

Glad CR has praise for the MME. Well deserved in the overall design of the car. Now if Job 1 cars can get BC and OTA updates can offer more fixes.

Way to go Ford.
I can see why they win this award.
I understand the frustration of early build Mach-Es.
I have read so many reports (LVB, lack of BC, Glass recall and so on...)

As a Aug/Sep built Mach-E, I can tell you it's a pleasure to drive.
Ford seem to have addressed most of the major issues from the above list.
So far no problems.
I hope all early build cars are brought to the higher standard soon.

This right here is the difference between Ford fans and Tesla fans. Posting the same words about a Tesla on a public forum would bring a raft of hate and excuses. You guys are a much more mature, rational, and sustainable crowd.

Off topic, I know. Congratulations Ford on grabbing the top CR listing. That is quite an achievement and speaks well of the things to come.

I agree that the car has (had) "glitches", but that is not really an indication of reliability to me. Reliability has to do with things that subsequently break versus are software bugs - not that bugs aren't a problem. My interpretation might change over time if it becomes common place that an update "breaks" my car. In the meantime, I will consider reliability more related to whether the motor stops working or the center console computer burns up or the mirrors stop closing, etc. due to mechanical or electrical failure.

Of course, this is easy for me to say, since my car was built in October and most of the software glitches from earlier builds were fixed by then. I'm afraid it is true that the pioneers are the ones with arrows in their backs.
