Mach-E GT PE - Grabber Blue - Blucifer Twocifer
Country flag
Last Wednesday, @Liv and I had our second day in an Infinite Blue, SR, AWD, Premium Mach-E. We spent the whole day driving and testing the Mach-E. By the end of the day, we were even more excited that we have a Mach-E on the way to us in the next couple of weeks.

Note: I wanted to do a lot more testing of the range and charging, but I felt like we didn't have enough time to do accurate testing under the conditions we had it in (as low as 17 degrees). We also didn't tes some stuff like PaaK or custom profiles. The car was already setup as a press demo unit, and I didn't want to spend time customizing everything for just a day. On the bright side, this sorta goes to show you can just jump in the car and drive without any complicated customization.

Things we did test - loading Liv's large recumbent trike in the back, Co Pilot 360's Intelligent Cruise Control and Park Assist features, the B&O sound system, and Android Auto (I got it working using a workaround).

Overall, we were extremely happy with the car. I did lots of mountain driving and a little freeway driving. It handles GREAT! And Liv thought the ride was cushioned. She compares it to her car (a RAV4) which is bouncy and my car (Subaru WRX) which has a really harsh ride.

If you have any questions for either of us, fire away!

Great video!! I will say, one of the things I don’t like about the Model Y is that you have to pay $10K to get the Parking Assist features. Although not sure how much I’d even use it, but still....good on Ford for including it.

The cutest part was that the horse stood there for a while before we noticed. Patrick pulled over to let a slow truck get ahead and this horsie literally made its way over and stared at us through the window. I didn't notice until Patrick looked at me and started laughing.

I asked on youTube but how was the regen going down those mountains?

Excellent video. Will show my wife as she will love the Assisted Parking.
I didn't document it in the video, but it was great coming down the mountain. We got several percent added to the battery coming down and the range moved up as well.

When the weather is good and I have my Mach-E, I plan on driving from Denver to the top of Mount Evans (above 14,000 feet), and then back. According to "A Better Route Route Planner" my battery would go from 80% to 40% to get there, but only from 40% to 33% to get back!

Patrick, Liv,

I enjoyed the 2 days of review. Liv, much admiration on trying the 1 Pedal driving. I never thought before how different it would be using a left leg instead of right leg.

Patrick, come on, Grabber Blue hair at least for the initial ownership period.

Good videos, I subscribed to your channel and look forward to more content once yours is delivered.

Thanks!
It's looking more and more like Grabber Blue hair. ? It really doesn't matter to me. I'm working from home so the only people that see me are @Liv (and a few thousand on YouTube). LOL

I had never dyed my hair (or wanted to) until the pandemic started. Then, I think out of boredom and watching Liv do it, I decided to give it a try and went with a bright, UV reactive green last year. It turned out to be a lot of fun. We'd walk around the neighborhood and people loved it. It was nice to spread some cheer while everyone was worried about other things.

Maybe in solidarity I should dye my grey hair Rapid Red when I receive mine. ? Of course I don't have to appear on YouTube, just colleagues on Zoom and Teams.

FYI: your chapter on park assist is titled "Part Assist"
Oh dang it! I blame my wife... She was supposed to double check my work. ? I wish I could just update the video on YouTube, but I'd have to delete and replace which kills the algorithm.

Thank you! I'm so anxious to practice and get good at it!! I totally agree with you, Grabber Blue at least for the first few weeks haha! Maybe he could do UV grabber blue even haha. You should totally go Rapid Red!!! We could do an ending segment where we show off people matching their Mach E's or something :D
