Purchasing and Programming another FOB

@methorian or @TheSteelRider, does your new fob light up when you press a button? I'm just wondering if mine is defective or if that's normal for an unpaired fob.

There was a shipping SNAFU with mine. Even though I selected FedEx to me (and, the FedEx tracking clearly indicated it was coming to ME, and delivered to ME) it was instead delivered to my selected dealership one town away. I have not (yet) picked it up due to the apocalyptical snow / ice storm in Texas.

There are two key blanks shown now, one for 95 and one for 48. Same part number!

Did you choose/specify the model (Mach-E) or enter the VIN. Other wise it will show all the parts. Example, if you look up part #15K601. You'll see more than the ones for Mach-E.

No lights, but there aren't any on my original keyfob either (that I've seen?)...

New one weighs the exact same as my original:

Opening it up shows a battery installed, and no plastics keeping it isolated...

Really? It looks like there’s a little LED right above the unlock button. But maybe that’s not a light?

You have to take it to the dealer or a locksmith, unfortunately.

This is a good bit less expensive than the $260 key and $65 programming for our Subaru Crosstrek.

Why do these things have to be so big and bulky looking. Haven't improved in 25 years.

I think the physical buttons factor into the size of the fob.

I went ahead and placed an order for the "Remote Control System" as well. $32.55 after tax shipped FedEx to me.

We'll see how it works out!

Copy that. Didn't mean to rush you. I'm highly motivated to find a second key fob and find an alternative remote starter. I'm simply not a fan of exchanging my information to be able to use remote start capabilities. Honestly, that's my biggest complaint with Ford. Put the remote start button on the key fob and stop being concerned with my location when I'm driving and when I'm not in the MME. PAAK is a great OPTION for some but it shouldn't be the only method to use a feature like remote start.
