My guess is that wouldn’t work... the UPS’s would kick in to keep things running. At least that’s the way things are set up at our house.
Well I have the same setup with two UPS units, but it would cut the Z-Wave network and about a third of the wireless devices including some repeater hubs. Shotgun approach is the way I look at it. If it's still there then I know to look at what's left on. I will most likely give this a shot later in the week. I still need Ford to be able to monitor the errors first etc.

My home is an EMI chamber, I am considering renting it out for testing.

A glimpse into my home.... I am an IT tech guy, what can I say...

3 Access Points (UBNT) - One SSID, they cover my entire home
28~ Z-Wave PLUS devices (Light Switches / motion / door locks and sensors)
Zigbee devices, I forget how many
Chamberlin Hub with two garage doors talking to it
50 + Network devices half are wireless etc.
5 security cameras POE / 1 RING DB
2 wall IPADS / 5 Echo's etc etc
2 HVAC gateways which are wireless to 2 wall controllers
1 Directv Gateway for wireless video to 2 TV's
1 Proview Hub (shades)
2 Hubitat Hubs
1 Sonos Hub

Electrical Main Breaker near the right rear quarter panel of the MME
Electrical feeder cable from MAIN to breaker panel in basement which run parallel to the garage inside wall on the right of the MME
50 AMP outlet 3 ft in front of the MME

Hmm, .... This sounds bad on paper...

No I am not moving and no to the other stuff :)
I'm a retired IT guy and thought I had a lot of crap going on. But dayum! I'm a rookie compared to you!

There is another owner with the same exact issue as my car. For that owner they had replaced the charging port but that didn't resolve the issues either. It appears that the car is loosing communication messages which causes the errors to show up. I believe it’s something in our environment that is interfering with the internal communication, from a missing interference shield of some sort. Interference can be coming from any one of my wireless devices such as the 3 Ubiquity AP's, Zwave automation network with repeaters or maybe my Chamberlin Garage door wireless hub. This is just a guess here..
There was a new Air Force jet that had a problem with the jet engines rolling back (a very bad thing) when the aircraft or other aircraft flying in close formation transmitted on a certain frequency. It turned out that a connector to the fuel control unit wasn't properly seated and the fuel controller operated at a harmonic frequency to the radio frequency causing the rollbacks. Once the fuel connector was properly seated the problem disappeared.

Given the circumstances you describe, you may very well also have a connector somewhere that isn't properly seated. It is only occurring at your house because that is the only place your car is close enough to the interference to "hear" it. I think that is more likely than your house's equipment generating a previously unknown "kill" signal.

Jersey? I think it may be something else underground causing interference.

Was thinking about going that approach as well, but have plan that not to disrupt the folks at home working. It has to work, if not it's NJ toxic radiation emitting from my garage floor :)

Could be that too! Ford will figure it out... But if so this will be more difficult to track down and as I had noted another owner has the same exact issues. Would be weird to have two MME's with the same loose cable. I doubt any loose cable would cause this but what do I know. I am leaving it in Fords hands and they are helping.

Connectors are quite often the trouble when it comes to EMI/EMC issues.

Well the same thing happened to two different Air Force jets months apart. I was flying the second one! Anything at your house transmitting at 38.85 Mhz?:) There were only 733 A-10s built and Ford's built a lot more MMEs. But you are right - let the manufacturer figure it out.

One thing I have found to be a big no no is to wrap an ac cord around a metal upright. See pictures above.

Gotta have that ground/shield connected or it don't shield right... Been there, done that, with sensitive instrumentation. Hard to find, but when you do, smooth sailing!
