@Maric Great to hear you pick up today! Hope it goes well.

Went to pick up my RR CR1 on Thursday Feb 26, however, when I was getting ready to leave after entering a lot of settings (all the settings I had put into the FordPass app would not go to the car), but found there was no A/C, no cold air coming out of the vents. They kept the car overnight to call Ford in the morning, gave me their loaner that they had for 5 days (450 miles already!). Mid morning they called to say the cold air was working after a software reload, but that they had another full software update and stop ship until that was done. Took a couple of hours, picked up MY car Friday afternoon, turned in the loaner. They also cancelled the Thursday contract, did a new one with all the correct numbers on it this time. Got XPlan (stockholder), 48 month Options, with down payment about equal to sales tax + deposit. Payment under $700. I showed the dealer how to correctly install the cargo mat (thank you all for the incredible information on this forum!!!). I got the battery SOC under 75% by Monday March 1, so put it on my L2 Juicebox that I have had for 4 years - no issues. Next week I will check out one of the 2 EA chargers within 25 miles of me.

This is one gorgeous car! I love the aero wheels with the RR color! Getting lots of compliments, lots of other drivers looking.

I checked PALSAP over the weekend, still shows pending and delivered to Muncie Ramp on Feb 6...

Is there a thread on How To questions? I want to set XM radio stations, destinations, max charge percentage, save settings to a user, etc. PaaK and Android Auto not working (Galaxy S9 Note). I am ordering a 2nd key fob - my wife wants to use the Mach E as her daily driver so I can continue to use my Kona for my work commute (dirty manufacturing company with a paint booth that sometimes has overspray if the wind is blowing a certain way).

Glad they got it taken care of.

Palsapp only shows trucking data - so once the truck delivered to the ramp, they were done with their job - nothing for them to update.

Question - what's your opinion of the Kona (presume it's the EV version)? My daughter just got one.

Kona is smaller and boxy looking, but same 0-60 and feels the same pep as my CR1 ER RWD. Controls are much easier: Kona has a 4 button "cross" shape shifter on center console, so I don't have to look where R is, Driver Only setting on climate control saves electrons, ventilated/heated seats work great, wireless charger fits my big phone better, have averaged 4.1 m/kWh on Kona (22k miles) vs 3.3 m/kWh on Mach E so far. Easy to save favorite stations, easy with Audible books, easy to save "where I am" destinations. Mach E of course has folding mirrors, 360 cameras and Co-Pilot - awesome! And, with Kona, DCFC does not drop off a cliff at 80%, but does start tapering down and I have it set to stop at 90%. Kona has proved to be both an excellent commuter and long range trip car. So, why get the Mach E? Bigger, Better, Badder - Best looking EV on the road! And, about 50 miles more range.

Thanks for the thorough write-up. I helped my daughter do some research before she took the plunge, but you're the first owner I've encountered. Sounds like she made a good choice.

Thanks all. I got another call and I will be picking up car on Thursday. So far looking like all will be resolved.

My word of advice for anyone that has same situation (car sitting at dealer on hold and dealership not able to resolve) @Ford on Twitter.
Way more helpful than you would ever expect. Really fantastic customer service via that method.
Canā€™t wait to hear you say, ā€œI Got Itā€. Driving your own Mach E off the lot makes the last 15 months seem like distant memories.

Done deal. Drove around and put 30 miles just because. Very happy with the car so far. Car is cosmetically perfect. Checked the undercarriage per @ChasingCoral ā€™s advice and all is good. (Dealership probably thought I was nuts). ?

Dealership was actually excellent. Had Ford Options down. $2500 incentive in place. Xplan applied to FE no issue. $100 copilot credit and $1500 CA Clean Vehicle reward all on paperwork.

Only issue I noticed that has been mentioned on this forum is wind noise. Probably a little too much for a car this expensive. But honestly thatā€™s a minor issue to me.

??CAP?? is now home and ready for adventure!

Do you have a cargo mat install trick? Dealer installed mine and it looks like it is too big for the floor. I searched the forum but cannot find a post on this. Thanks.

Congrats @Maric the car looks fantastic!

Try the tape truck and see if it quiets the car down. If it does, let your dealer know and have them report it to Ford. Then you can do the foam sine thing or ... not.

anyway, nice looking set of wheels. :)

I think I will report it with the hopes that it will result in a fix. It should honestly be a very inexpensive fix for Ford but make a large difference for many people in terms of enjoying their car.

First take the trunk base and put it on the lower shelf such that the upper shelf supports are exposed.

then place your mat on top of the base but below the supports toward the front and rear of the trunk.

Got to love a happy ending; especially one that ends with an a great looking car. I know its been a long, long wait but looks like it was well worth it. Well done - enjoy the ride. Great pics BTW. Nice lighting.

I wanted to add a couple things from my experience.

Based on a thread from this forum I removed the car from Ford Pass App prior to picking up car. Scanned the barcode on car and Ford Pass set up perfectly . No issues so far.

Paired phone easily. Galaxy Note 10+ Charges on the pad no issues.

Started car and received message on screen asking if I wanted to use And
doid Auto. Selected Yes. Android Auto worked flawlessly over wireless.

Used OK Ford commands. Car understood and worked well.

Used OK GOOGLE commands with Android Auto. Made calls, sent texts, navigation all via voice perfectly.

So far my experience with software has been excellent.

B&O stereo is sadly average. While I thought the Bass was ok, overall the sound quality is a little tinny And distorts far too low in the volume range. Good but I expected better.

I have only driven the MachE with one pedal driving. Going in reverse was a little odd. But I quickly picked up regular driving. One mistake I made was not setting the car to ā€˜holdā€™ when I come to a stop with one pedal driving. I almost rolled into someone when I took the car out for a test drive ? as I was playing with the screen settings while at a stop light and took my foot off the drive pedal. Oops! With ā€˜holdā€™ setting no longer an issue.

Iā€™ve read from others here no throwback or neck snap when flooring the car. Not my experience. I actually surprised myself because based on some posts here I wasnā€™t expecting the car to shoot forward and throw me back but it sure does!

I found the ride to be very nice, and Iā€™m coming from an Audi Q5 Premium. I thought the seats were very comfortable. If only that wind noise were not there.

Adaptive headlights work well.

Still, Iā€™m waiting for my turn to experience early adopter pains. Weā€™ll see!
