Had this from my dealer today who unlike most on this forum is excellent

"I have enquired with Ford this morning and looked at the Vista ordering system. Vista does indeed state ‘compound out’ in Veracruz Mexico. With an ETA to us week ending 22/5/21

Now I also have information to say that the ship your Mach E is on will dock in Antwerp on the 22/3. I think dealers were under the impression the ship would be docking in the UK. Being in Antwerp means Ford have stated that delivery to dealers will be 5-10 weeks from this date. This corresponds with May.

At present there are 10 updates, software etc that the Mach E is listed as needing once it arrives at the dealer. This should only take a few days to complete. These updates will be bespoke to each individual car and the number needed may vary."

He also stated in an email yesterday that they have had the mach e at the dealership for staff training so he seems pretty clued up with whats going on.

Nice to have some solid info from the dealership network
Almost exactly same information that I was given except about what updates are needed. Seems we are on the same ship ?

It does seem that most of the cars built in December are on the immaculata. But from what our shipping guru has previously posted it he ship is doing the Hokey Cokey around the eastern seaboard so arrival at Antwerp may be delayed a bit. TBH as long as I get my car in May I will be happy

After penning a "I'm out on the principle of such bad Ford customer service" message to this forum back in January my ivory tower has somewhat crumbled and I'm back in.

The cancelling process was proving almost as challenging as the purchase process & I was having difficulty actually getting written confirmation on this. In the mean time I was searching for an alternative and quite frankly nothing hit the mark like the MME.

During this period then I noted my order went into production with a production date of 16th Feb and Ship date of 24th of Feb, and so here I am. I've been in touch with Rebecca because my dealer is still exceptionally uninterested. Rebecca has advised me that my car (SR) is sitting at port and due to be shipped on 13th March with a dealer ETA of 3rd of June. I note this ship date doesn't quite tally with the dates I recently read on here.

Anyway, "once more into the fray".

Latest update on MSC IMMACOLATA's eta at Antwerp is 27 March. She will be berthing in Davisville shortly and then has 2/3 stops further south before starting across the pond.

The information I got was that these updates/checks were being done in Antwerp before they were sent to dealers, hence the 5 - 10 week delay. That was from my dealer and Rebecca. I suppose we will just have to wait and see.

Welcome back!

I think you've done the right thing.

If you've read the last few pages of posts, there are a lot of us who have considered similar but there is not an alternative out there which ticks as many boxes as the Mach E.

Personally, after what we've all been through this past year, I feel I owe it to myself to wait for delivery of my Mach E.

To jump ship at this point (excuse the pun) would be accepting second best and I know I would come to regret it.

Lots of nice cars coming out, ID4, the new Hyundai and Etron4. Very tempting indeed if there is a massive delay.

Definitely after the last year we've all had I want a decent car not just one to get you from A to B.

Delays are acceptable ish i'm now more concerned by the faults and ensuring ford make them go away.

I had a very similar update today as well. Like you say in a later post any time in May would be perfect.

What home charger has everyone gone for? Anyone opted to go for the Ford one for £559 or however much it was?
Whilst the ford charger appears to be a rebadged elvi, as it stands the ford charger is not listed on the olev approved list. I queried ford and they confirmed it is entitled to olev grant because their install partner (British gas) is an olev approved installer. I don't think the customer service agent appreciates that the unit itself needs to be approved.

It is also unclear if it has voltage monitoring to negate need for installation of earth bar. I've queried that also but no response so far.

I do actually like the aesthetic of the ford charger. I want a tethered unit but quite a number don't have a neat cable wrap around (zappi & podpoint are the best imo).

Does anyone know if there are any other benefits of the ford unit with ford pass integration?

Thanks
