Well, then you have to also mention that if I lease MY LR for 36 months, 12000 miles and $5000 downpayment, I will be paying less than $500/month. And my Ford Options for the same conditions (with $2600 incentive) costs me $731/moth for the cheaper MME configuration (cheaper than MY LR). Of course, after I get Tax rebate next April-May, I will be able to get closer to Tesla's numbers.
You don’t actually have to use the lease to get the bonus cash. My comparison wastaking the cash but then paying for the car. In other words, if you do it right, the MME is currently at least $5k cheaper.

The Mach E does not handle better than the Model Y, the ride quality is better, but the MY grips the road and corners better. Ford made the decision to go with econobox size tires (probably to get the range numbers up) which in such a heavy car is hurting the handling. The MME is a much more comfortable vehicle, less road noise, better ride etc.

It is unfair to compare the pricing of the MME to the MY with FSD and 20 inch wheels..MME does not and will not have anything close to FSD, the enhanced copilot is pretty much a match for autopilot which is standard. If you compare spec for spec (assuming X plan and $2500 ford options rebate) you are 2500-3500 lower in price in the MME, if the $7000 credit comes back for Tesla then the price advantage is in the other direction.
"Ford says Active Drive Assist will engage on more than 100,000 miles of highway in North America, which is well short of Super Cruise's more than 200,000 miles of coverage. Last year GM updated Super Cruise to allow it to navigate some roads with intersections. It's doubtful the Ford system will have that ability—at least, not initially."

These articles are clearly wrong, they didn't even get the Model Y spec level naming correct! It's the Tesla Model Y Bloated Catfish Edition. They also didn't include the price of the Catfish package which is laughs and giggles from the cool kids in their Mustangs.

Put your pen back in your pocket protector and get back in your Catfish and wait for it to charge whilst I, in my sexy ride, move on because I have about 50 miles or more real range than you. Dork.

Well, at least thank you for not forcing to buy FSD with Tesla MY - because some people decided that you HAVE TO buy FSD is you buy Tesla. If that the case, MME still not $14K cheaper as some dreamers are stating. As for other stuff you mentioned - it's all options, it is not MUST TO BUY and anybody can live without it, so, again, forcing to buy those options is not a correct way when you compare prices of different cars. For example, I chose to buy MME and not MY LR mostly because I had a choice to buy RWD Standard range (plus of course I like look of MME better) - that made my purchase feasible. If I had to buy MME only with AWD and Extended range configuration, I would not probably be able to convince myself do so
You don't get it do you. We're comparing the premium to the model Y equivalent, you seem to be stuck on select.

I think this review boiled down to....
1. The MY Performance is sportier than the MME (agreed - even the MYLR has a bit sportier acceleration).
2. The MY has slightly more cargo room (agreed).
3. The MY charges faster (agreed).
4. The MME looks a hell of a lot better (agreed).

Now what the reviewers failed to mention....
1. The MY has quicker acceleration because it is LIGHTER. But that weight savings comes at a cost of a louder, less refined interior.
2. The charger they used for the MME was obviously broken - most people are charging up just fine with DCFC stations, or they will be once Ford fixes Plug & Charge.
3. The MME has a boatload of other advantages: quieter and more refined interior, more convenient buttons and knobs, handy driver's instrument display, Apple CarPlay, better range, at least $5k cheaper.

So take this review for what it is worth (I would suggest about as much as a paper bag full of dog poop).

And add to that: The MY tested had the upgraded "performance" package which they knew from the start does not compare with the MMe premium X, awd. There are plenty of MY long range cars out there to be found, most are probably without the performance package added. Makes you wonder what's up with that?

This. As someone who cross shopped the MY, test drove both ready to buy either (refundable deposit on MME), sure even the SR MY felt faster in a straight line but within a few minutes of driving the MME I had made my choice. Smooth. Polished. I wasn’t looking for a drag racer, I was looking for a dad car that was still fun, and fun it is. If numbers and flat out non real world use acceleration is what one wants then Tesla it is. Steering and road dynamics are not perfect with the MME but trump the MY at high and low speeds. It’s just more fun, ride’s better- it’s a little lower slung but at the end of the day the wife and kid love it. It’s very rewarding to gun it out of a corner and hear your kiddo in car seat go “weeeee” while the wife is holding on for dear life. ?
My manners have tempered out a bit after paying more attention to the efficiency figures but still, it’s there.
Few things to point out. Is the model y 0 to 60 faster yes. Is it a lot not.

Handling is more to your taste of how you drive. Too many reviews like the handling of the mache as it's more fun to drive. But again that is up to how you like to preload and drive your corners.

riding yeah the mache rides way better.
