OK, so we don't have the date yet but for those of us in the Mid-Atlantic region, let's start thinking positively about that day this Fall/Winter when our steeds start to arrive. Who in the Mid-Atlantic has a First Edition coming? Here's the first picture of a pre-production, assembly line prototype of the lovely Grabber Blue First Editions Methorian and I have coming. Who else in the Mid-Atlantic has an FE reserved?

Hopefully the Premiums won't be far behind the FEs and early reservation Premiums may come at the same time. Who in the Mid-Atlantic has an early Premium reservation, too?

I've already suggested to Methorian that we plan to meet for a drive in Shenandoah National Park. There are great photo spots along Skyline Drive.

How about a Mid-Atlantic roll call?

Sounds good to me. I live in Cumberland, MD. It would be a great ride.

Coral,

Hello from Northern VA...

Premium, AWD, ER Red on reservation... #7045...

Upgrading from a 19 Fusion PHEV.

Skyline is a nice drive....

Gary, we took the train out of Cumberland a few years ago.... Drive through frequently going to PA.

Assuming some level of normalcy returns, Katies Cars & Coffee in Great Falls is a pretty awesome C&C.

Lets keep track as deliveries start and plan something.

Very nice idea. I'm from NYC so I will be looking for a meet up closer unless i decide to take a road trip just to take one. I reserved FE rapid red...

Any dealerships interested in having a parade of Mach E vehicles driving thru or onto their lot as part of the meet-up? Any dealership with Level 3 charger on site? Way to promote such a new and rare vehicle. I would assume you would have to schedule such a meet up May 2021 thru October 2021 in an attempt to have "warm(er)" weather.

Nice idea. I'm thinking a first meetup not long after initial deliveries. Something bigger could be planned to coincide with the summer season of MCA events.

A little off topic, but geographically accurate - it looks like the $3K Maryland EV excise tax credit was allowed to expire. The credit has been underfunded for years (last year's credit was fully expended on the first day of the fiscal year paying out claims submitted from the prior year). The Governor had proposed doubling the size of the fund; it died in committee in part due to the COVID-19 forced truncated session. So now it appears there is no state EV credit for purchases made after June 30, 2020 (and no money for purchases made since July 2, 2019). It is possible for a retroactive credit to be passed in the next legislature - it has never been a budget buster (the proposal that died would have taken the fund from $6 million to $12 million); those of us who live in Maryland should be lobbying our state legislators and the Governor to reinstate the credit, especially seeing the climate impact of having reduced tailpipe emissions during the public health crisis. The bill that died is here: https://pluginsites.org/electric-vehicle-legislation-tracker-2020/ - Clean Cars Act of 2020, HB1223

I concur. There was some discussion of a special session since the main one was truncated. I was planning to reach out to my Delegates and Senators to see if it can be raised in then or pushed for next year. In addition to your valid point about air pollution, it is also an economic stimulus package, encouraging not only the purchase of new cars but also home chargers and charging infrastructure.

Matt: Why don't you move this into a new thread in the mid-Atlantic Forum?

Good idea. Just re-posted there with some added detail. I suppose it isn't a deal breaker but $3K is not inconsequential to the affordability of the car.
