It looks like no expected build dates have yet been reported after May, and the last big group to get build dates had order dates from Mid January (with a few exceptions). Is everything pretty much frozen at this point?

Did you use the online purchase option? Or will you have to deal with the dreaded finance guy at the dealer?

I tried the online purchase option but found it was pretty much a waste of time. My dealer was also not setup for the options plan either.

Dealers fight it like crazy, but there is no reason why you truly must go into the dealership at all. That is even easier to argue in these pandemic days. When the salesman at my local dealer would not drop his pestering for me to come in, I stood firm. They were also asking for a $5K additional dealer markup as well as an inflated $1500 deposit, and I explained that I “would not be participating in that.” The sales guy said I could negotiate it with the Finance Manager when I came in. I reiterated that I would not be coming in, and he said he would have the FM call me back to discuss it. When he didn’t call back after 2 days, I placed a call to a different dealer. It took ten minutes on the phone to establish the terms (MSRP+docs and tax, no markup and the standard $500 deposit) and another five-minute follow up call to get my order in.

I had a similar experience buying a Mazda a few years ago. Don’t submit to the demand to appear in person! It’s not necessary and only gives the dealership an unfair advantage.

That is a horrible experience and a great way to lose a sale/repeat customer. My dealer agreed it should be MSRP and I am holding them to that. The finance person said the online quotes are way off so I will be curious to see the numbers once their systems are updated to handle the Options (I am the first to buy a MME from my dealer). I kinda figured from the experiences of others on this forum that the Options route might be difficult but at least it makes it easier on the next.

How so? Did the online system not have all the info needed?
The system had estimated numbers for tax, title and other dmv fees. I also had questions about the accuracy of the charges on the Ford side of the transaction - or the amount of the purchase did not carry over from the Ford side to the final purchase price.

Sounds like it’s not ready for prime time. Bummer.

I'm seeing some duplicate entries in the table. For example, my entry seems to be in there 5 times. I promise I didn't buy 5 Mach-E's lol! If I somehow submitted the google form multiple times, I certainly didn't mean to. But I'm seeing some others that are duplicated too so I'm wondering if it's some automated process gone wrong ?

Got mine today! Order 1092. California Rte. 1 Mustang Mach-E RWD in Infinite Blue, extended range. Picked it up from James Ford in Half Moon Bay, CA. I should mention that while I didn't pick it up until today (3/22) it arrived at the dealership on 3/12.

Her name is Nyssa.

Submitted order 3/8/2021, Mach E Premium AWD Extended Range in Rapid Red
I lost patience after two weeks. I'm not sure how the rest of you were able to wait so long! You have my respect.

I canceled my order and bought a nearly identical MME from a dealer lot. The only difference was the lack of Interior Protection Package. I may go aftermarket, or just skip it. Great car so far!

Dealer honored the X-Plan pricing, and accepted a $3k down payment via rewards credit card. I also have a Delaware $2500 tax incentive that was applied as an additional down payment. Remainder financed at 0.9% over 48 months.

One of the easiest vehicle purchases I've ever made. Now I need to get an appropriate power outlet to charge this thing.. 3 miles per hour charging from a standard outlet isn't going to cut it! :)
