What is the relationship of FordPass and MME?

FordPass seems primarily for reporting data from MME, basic control functions (lock, start, etc.), climate scheduling, etc. I guess you could operate a MME without FordPass? Probably without a smartphone too?

But, I find some of the "fixes" confusing. For example, one member @AEtherScythe reported intercepting https communication that indicated more frequent 12V battery voltage checks See his post #489.

So, was FordPass actively involved in that process (by query from FordPass). Or, was FordPass just observing what MME was doing by itself, following that MME software update.

Another example is folks reporting L2 charging working after the last FordPass update. Can program activity by FordPass control MME L2 charging beyond scheduling? Or, perhaps FordPass was somehow inadvertently preventing L2 charging, and now it no longer stops L2 charging?

I have a FordPass account (mobile and web). I only run it on my phone once a week or so and then only for a few minutes to do whatever I need and then turn it off. It is very possible to operate the Mach-E without FordPass or a mobile phone. I do it all the time. It is the same as using a fob in an ICE car. All the charge scheduling and priorities are handled by the car. If you change something in FordPass mobile app related to charging.....I believe it sends that info to the vehicle and the car executes the request.

I just went through an inexpected issue: trying to open the FordPass app on my IPhone, I received a message that tells me »impossible to telecharged the app, try later»».
Since I was home, I could get my key but what if I was few hundred miles from my key and no way to get into the car or strart the electric motor to move ??

Je viens tout juste d'expérimenter un problème: j'essaie d'ouvrir l'application FordPass sur mon IPhone mais «impossible de télécharger l'élément» s'affiche comme message. Que se passe t-il si je suis à plusieurs centaines de kilomètres de ma clé ???

in the worst case you can use the door code to open the doors and the backup start code to drive the car. set the backup start code if you haven't done so yet.

dans le pire des cas, vous pouvez utiliser le code de porte pour ouvrir les portes et le code de démarrage de sauvegarde pour conduire la voiture. définissez le code de démarrage de sauvegarde si vous ne l’avez pas encore fait.
