anyone else's button not work when you click the activate trial button? I can't seem to get it to turn on. I click activate trial, and then "continue" on the next page and the website says it cannot be completed.
Was just able to get mine to activate. After two weeks and three support tickets. I started over and called FordPass again. This time they asked me to clear all browsing history/cookies/cache/etc. Worked on the first try. I'm activated now. But only 250kwh showing for now...

hopefully the rest shows up soon.

I bought my MME off a dealer lot on 3/24/2021. No email, but I did receive the extra 250kWh the day after I activated my FordPass Charging Network account.
Bought mine off the lot March 11th and just noticed the extra 250kWh on my account this morning.

I didnt pre-order but I did get an extra 250kwh (500 total in my account). However I still haven't been able to use them even though I've set everything up and activated. Today I plugged in at electrify america thinking Plug and charge would kick in automatically but it didn't. So I tapped my phone to the charging station and it instead charged my credit card linked to my electrify america account.

Does anyone know how to get plug and charge started? I don't anticipate using electrify america often but I'd like to utilize the free 500kwh I have at some point.

You can use them without Plug and Charge, but you need to activate the charger through the FordPass app.

Damn I knew I was forgetting to do something! Could have saved $30 today (my little lady was thirsty!). Thanks for the tip, will try that at my next outing to EA

The free trial for the FordPass Network is 2 years, but somebody pointed out somewhere that the free kWh bundle is actually good for 3 years. Though I'm not sure how you would use it that last year unless you pay for the FordPass Network. Either way, I don't think the date you activate matters because I'm pretty sure they both start from the date you bought the car.
Wait, Ford actually plans to charge us at some point for this garbage? LOL. What is the benefit aside from the free kWh that few of us can even use?

The claimed benefit is that it combines the activation of several separate charging networks into a single app and payment source. We‘ll see what they end up charging for it, but I suspect the take rate will be very low.

Yeah, it would need to work reliably AND provide discounted rates.

considering we're well over a year out from the first people having to even think about this, it feels quite silly to be even worried about this right now. ?
