The screen buzz definitely doesn't go away, I can assure you of that. 3,000 miles and I hear it at highway speeds just as clear as I did when it was new. I hope every day to see a TSB that helps me get my dealer to replace this buzzing screen.

If you hear the buzzing and it's as grating as it is in my car, I don't know what to say other than to think carefully about if you can live with it. Ford has made no acknowledgement of it so far, so there's no guarantee they will ever fix it. If that's the case, my ownership will be short. It's infuriating.

The rest I think are not as big. The road noise is about as quiet as you get this side of proper luxury, and PAAK already has software updates available (ask your dealer if they can apply them) and more coming.

The buzzing definitely annoys me too. Iā€™ve dealt with it by using the Mach-E in ways where I am less likely to hear it, meaning with the windows open and/or the radio on.

Precisely when I want silence, i.e. with the radio off and the windows up, is when I hear it the most and it drives me up a wall. But this doesnā€™t happen too often for me because I work from home and so have great flexibility on when I drive and have nothing like a regular commute where I always have to drive on a certain day/time and therefore donā€™t have to get in for a drive for some recurring commitment if I donā€™t feel like driving. I also have a second car. So Iā€™ve been able to make it a minimal issue for me in this way but was otherwise getting a bit demotivated early on as I sat in the Mach-E and had to hear it as I fiddled with settings to get the car set up and as it was colder in early February when I got the car so couldnā€™t open the windows as much.

Anyway Iā€™m optimistic Ford will fix it eventually but whether itā€™s a deal breaker for you should I think depend on your own preferences and how much driving time you are likely to spend where this noise is audible. As I am, I am OK with it if it can eventually be fixed. If I hated listening to music, didnā€™t like opening my windows, preferred to drive in silence, and had a one hour commute each direction five days a week, I donā€™t think I would be able to cope.

On the wind noise, I absolutely donā€™t hear it at all and agree with others that it is a strikingly quiet car (screen buzz aside). But this issue seems limited to only some Mach-Es.

PaaK works decent for me. Most of the time it works flawlessly, sometimes I have to wake my phone up for it to work, and one or two times where that hasnā€™t worked, I have had to press unlock in the FordPass App and that has done the trick. Donā€™t forget the back-up code also exists if all else really fails.

I recently posted things I do not like about mache but thread was closed, as if I am some sort of tesla troll :)
That said, I am glad I bought the cheapest trim. It qualifies for state incentives so I saved in sales taxes + federal credit. This car is great if you do not expect much from it. The tech in this car needs to be polished, I feel sorry for people who expect self-driving capabilities from ford. Ford can't get infortainment to work properly and not to suck, I just do not see them writing self driving software :), as the result I gave up on ford mobile app and infotainment.
I do have screen buzz, but it is not loud enough to bother me, not sure if different cars have different level of buzz.

I do not have glass roof, and this car is very quiet at any speed. It charges at 11kwh/h at home and has adequate power. It does not drive very confident in WA on rainy day. It's skinny and overinflated tires are somewhat dangerous, so you must be very careful with the throttle. My range on 100% charge is 175 miles, not surprised that ford can claim its range is the most accurate :)

That said, I like it, but only because the price for the base model was right.

You are not alone on the "remorse" side- but I think most would feel this on a big purchase that's not 100%.

My biggest go-to when I'm feeling slightly anxious is the instrument buzz... I only hear it when stopped or at low speeds especially if the radio's off. That one bugs me a bit. The rest are minor annoyances (iphone wireless charge disconnect, settings which seem to change on their own, kinda meh phone app). Then I switch on Unbridled on the local twisties, and remember that I haven't been to a gas station in a month, and I am content. No car's gonna be perfect... I think this one might get to us because it seems fixable (and here's hoping they fix it).

I canā€™t speak from experience but I recall reading a post somewhere that said the screen buzz was better with the dark setting. That person said they liked it better anyway.

We've gotten over 330 MI on our first edition which is only supposed to be 270. Can't say you'll get the same but this is driving at 69 to 74 mph. My brother and his wife have a model X, and it always tells them they have more miles than they actually get. The MachE seems to under promise and over deliver.
Thatā€™s good to hear!
I saw range numbers on a standard range premium AWD in Alaska and I knew it wasnā€™t all youā€™re gonna get number, that they were being conservative. 100% charge 124 mile range it said. So, I bought an Extended Range that a fellow member passed onto me, and I just got the App activation today (Seattle area dealer) and I have 97% charge it says 209 mile range. Aside from the need to drive it to let it learn and all that, the simple fact of your post here puts a lot of relief and in my mind and Iā€™m so excited for this thing to get here.

Mineā€™s on dark already, tried light on the off chance and no.

Going to do some serious driving around tomorrow evening after work, hoping the more I drive the more I like it.

True, and this is my first car in a while thatā€™s not a lease (weird thing to do on a 1st gen, but that goes to show how much hope I had in it), so I get to think maybe thereā€™s a way I tweak some things within warranty to ease my few concerns I do have. I saw some where some extra rubber molding on the seams seemed to help the noise for example.

Agreed, itā€™s good to hear folks have been getting more than that panel is advertising, because I do feel a bit undersold given itā€™s out of dealership (and now ~50 miles) rating only saying ~170 miles. As long as itā€™s above 200, the way I mapped out some of the longer trips that works out to be good with chargers along the routes.

Yeah, I went with Premium trim so just missed out on the sales tax (that is so weird that WA decided to cap the credit to a max purchase of $45K). Looking forward to the federal tax credit, especially given I owed this year.

Iā€™ll check with the dealer on the wind noise then. It sounds like it should be quieter than it is. I wasnā€™t exaggerating when I said in the OP that I thought my passenger windows were down/cracked at one point, so thinking thereā€™s a seal off somewhere.

I think thatā€™s going to be the biggest thing for me if I stick with it too. If something ends up not going as promised with the OTAs or quality longer term, I think it might finally push me to trying other brands that will be launching EVs over the next few years. I really hope that isnā€™t the case, I made this leap because Ford has proven themselves over the past several cars for me.

Thanks for the tip on the dealer. Iā€™ll follow up with them.

My view is Ford will never fix either issue (wind/screen), so I wouldnā€™t base your decision on them being corrected to your satisfaction. Accordingly, it really depends on you.

For example, if youā€™re embarrassed by the noise (screen/wind) to the point where youā€˜re hesitant to have friends/family in the car, then you should return it.

If you still want to show the MMe off to others, let friends drive it, etc., then you should keep it.

If youā€™re between the two examples above, itā€™s a function of your relationship with regret - which will you regret more: (1) driving the MMe with the issues youā€™ve identified; or (2) wondering how cool it could have been driving the MMe....
Good luck!

- Wind noise, I didnā€™t think Iā€™d be bothered here, but this does seem louder than my Fusion Energi did at 50+ MPH. I used a decibel measure and at high speeds the wind is the loudest and Iā€™m measuring around 65 db. Anyone else hearing noise that loud?

I tried for fun with my apple watch serie 6, I have 58 dB at 60mph, yours is definitely too loud!
