Hello All,

I want the GT performance version but I only see the GT is available to order on Ford’s website. There seems to be confusion between the GT and GT performance on YouTube and media outlets reporting on the vehicle. The GT will be available with just under a 4 sec 0-60 while the GT Performance will be available with a 0-60 in about 3.5 secs. Also, the GT performance is the model with a different front end than the other models and will have more features. The GT Performance is the vehicle shown with the GT badge on the rear with a similar blue color to the exclusive blue on the First Edition.

Does anyone know when the GT performance will be available to order? Will it be a separate package available to order on the GT or its own separate model?

This is the info page on the GT performance, not the regular GT, noted by the clear distinct blue color not available on the regular GT model.

Don't know, but I suspect the Performance version will be a package/option on top of the regular GT, instead of a whole different trim. So your GT reservation would be for either of them. Again, just guessing at this point, since they haven't announced the GT's options yet.

This was my impression as well.

Not that dealers have all the info either (so take it with a grain of salt) but that’s what my dealer stated when they called me on 11/18. I’d asked if I could reserve a GT Performance, and he indicated that it would be an option package I would select when we get calls to place final build orders in 2020. In fact, he even stated that my selection of a GT now doesn’t mean much as I can just change that when placing the final order. I suspect they only ask for that now to help forecast model builds... with the exception of the First Edition, given it’s limited build.

I'm really keen to find out the package options & pricing as I want the GT with Magneride, glass roof and the optional driver assist features which are standard on the Premium. If too many monies though, will just stick with a Premium and its lame 5.5 second 0-60.

Great info! I reserved a GT. I will probably order the GT Performance, from the info provided it appears as if the GT Performance will come with the magneride standard.

I sat next to Mark Kaufman (Team Edison, Head of EV Marketing) at an conference on Feb. 15th. He said:
1. Reserve the GT...the Performance Edition will be an option when you place your official order.
2. You'll be able to delete the glass sunroof at that time (saves weight).
3. Team Edison is doing everything they can to reduce weight on the car.
4. Expect impressive 0-60 times.

Good info, although technically you don't have to "delete" the glass roof as the GT doesn't come with it.

Do we know this to be true? I know Ford’s website lists the glass roof as optional. However, could it come standard with the glass roof but provide a delete option when ordering (versus the other way around)?

I've got a Premium AWD ER on reservation but I'm super keen to find out more on the GT equivalent. I wonder if pricing will be available by the time FE/Premium orders are firmed up?

The lists of standard equipment for Premium and California models specifically include the panoramic glass roof. The one for the GT does not.
When you build a Premium in the configurator, it is depicted with glass roof. When you build the GT, it is not.
When you build the GT in the configurator, it then lists the standard equipment and key features, but there's no mention of a glass roof.
On the main Mach-E page, if you click on "Compare Model Specs", it states that the glass roof is "S" (standard) on the Premium, California and FE but it is "O" (optional) on the GT.

Maybe Ford will change it's mind when options are finalized (anything can happen, of course) but right now everything points to the glass roof not being standard equipment.

Sounds like a distinction without a difference. To me it would make more sense for the roof to be an optional accessory carrying a commensurate increase in price, rather than them dropping the price if you delete it.

The roof is standard on premium, FE, and Rt1.
