Talked with ford customer service. They said they cannot do anything.

Man, that really sucks. I would hold out to see if Mike responds to you, otherwise I would start looking for another one with a similar config as you. This is the one thing Tesla has an advantage with, not having to deal with sh**head dealers that arbitrarily markup the price.

If Mike is able to help, great. Otherwise, I am going to Tesla. 8 months waiting and dreaming for the car!! and this is how they are going to treat their customers. No thanks.

I would simply say, "when you accepted the order, you agreed to the price. I will only pay what the order price is"

Legally you would win this. But the cost of a lawyer is going to exceed the ADM markup and they are banking on the fact you won't take it this far. This is a sucky situation and if Ford won't step in and fix it I'd make sure to blast this on social media FAR AND WIDE as Ford not caring about their customers and the contracts they make with them.

sunnyvale has a 9% sales tax, that and registration/licensing could easily get to $6k. Do you have a break down of fees?

The DMV has a TTL calculator. It's 10.5% for TTL where I live which is possibly lower than Sunnyvale. So, it's really $4,420 more.

You message didn't make it clear that you're talking about a car YOU ordered , and that the dealer has agreed to no ADM with you in the past.

Are we sure the customer did not agree to the ADM when placing the order?

I went to Ford.com and pretended to order from Sunnyvale Ford. They clearly list the ADM highlighted below.

I wish you luck, and I don't mean that sarcastically. This is why I did the thread about how people picked their dealers, that, and I hate the whole car buying process.

Sunnyvale Ford is the kind of place that gets your keys for the trade, then changes the deal, and won't give them back to you.

FWIW, I think Morgan Hill Ford and Walnut Creek Ford may be a bit more honest. A guy from Brentwood Ford posts here too, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. You might also try some place like Jalopnik. Drag them Sunnyvale through the deepest mud you can find.

I think I may have looked a few months ago and there wasn't but I'm definitely not certain about Sunnyvale. It just seems like I checked them before because they've had MME's on cars.com that were heavily marked up and I got curious.

Watsonville Ford has been doing $10K almost since the beginning but most of the rest of the dealers never changed the order page.

I really doubt it would have been there when he placed his order which must have been months ago.

It could have been. Dealers usually enter that information when they first setup their system for online orders. Unless of course the OP has a screenshot of their order that clearly shows no ADM.

Sunnyvale Ford has no ADM before but asking for it since maybe 2-3 months back. I picked up my car from them this Feb and no ADM.
