So arrived at 9AM, time is now 15:04 and been told the update is half way through. Sounds like they’re installing Windows 95 from a floppy disc drive. This is 2021, it shouldn’t be this hard.
You're going to love activating your FordPass Charging Network subscription,. if you haven't already! What a shit show. Been trying all day. Spinning wheel of death on almost every page. On one attempt I managed to get as far as putting in my card details, which it gobbled up and took me to another spinning wheel... now every time I get back to the same page, the cells to input card details are gone, presumably because it's already been done, but it won't let me click the activate button until I enter them... but there is no where to enter them. It's all such a bad experience. They're lucky the car drives like it does!

ooopppsss. They are going to lose out big time then. Ford are saying it should take about 2 hours.
I believe the actual update doesn’t take longer than that but my dealer doesn’t seem experienced , I must have been one of the first they had done. They didn’t realise the car needed to have over 75% charge otherwise the update wouldn’t commence, they then had to take it out the workshop and back to a charge point . Then wait a few hours and then back into the workshop .So …fairly disorganised. If your dealer is on top of his game you should be fine.

Already went through that hell. I had to contact FordPass customer service in the end.

The dealer who is going to do it for me already told me that the battery needed to be more than 75%. It was on the FSA letter that all dealers had. They should have told you and asked that it was charged when you took it in. Obviously didn't read the FSA properly/at all.

I has told by my dealer that at one point someone in Ford talked about sending the fix out on USB sticks to the dealers as the OTA was so problematic!

Is there any one expecting their cars to be with their dealers on or around 24th July? as this is the date I have been provisionally given along with several of my work colleagues who have ordered them as company cars.
Hi Tony. As far as I can see from the Lex Autolease Customer Portal my car is due with the dealer on the 23rd of July. This date has stayed the same since I placed the order in late january. Whether it's accurate or not who knows!

That is so weird as the FordPass Connect charging card setup was the only thing that was a breeze and went smoothly for me!

Just loads of spinning wheels of death… wonder if it’s related to the server shit down they did last night. Will try again tomorrow.

Anyone else had a failed ota today?
This may be a stupid question but does the Mach e use your home WiFi or it’s own data connection to do OTAs? We have very slow home WiFi and poor phone reception. Does this mean OTAs will be tough to do at home? Can it be done out and about? Not sure how it all works

Today, I filled up with petrol (before anyone thinks I lost the plot, I don't have my MME yet!!!), a tank normally lasts me around 5 weeks. Last time and the time before, I thought to myself "I wonder if that was the last time I'll ever fill up with petrol!" - obviously it wasn't! Today I thought, "SURELY this MUST be the last time I fill up with petrol!" - come on Ford, get your finger out, you've got 5 weeks max!!!
In other news I had both tappsdate and vehicledate changes today (2 hours between) in Antwerp. I hope it hasn't gone on the FORENSO though because that's heading back to Germany (dodgy battery repairs)!!! Maybe they're loading up TOSSA, or another boat. I hope. Exec office says I'll be in Flushing by the end of the week.... ???
