Received this notice today.Build date Nov 18.
I think I remember one OTA about 2 months ago but nothing apparent to me since that time.
So long?I just got 1.6.0 today. Not sure why it took so long?
What is the build date please?I just got 1.6.0 today. Not sure why it took so long?
Data was reported in Post 7. Hence my surprise in just getting Power Up 1.6.0 ?‍What is the build date please?
So then today this happened:@breeves002 was kind enough to look it up for me and says it's 1.6. I haven't been in the car since I got the notification to see what the big screen shows.
I received the update even though I didn't enable the WiFi connection.Build: 04/2021
OTA: 1.4.0
I am interested in this. (Europe/ The Netherlands).
From what I know, the following parameters are involved in receiving the update.
Now, we wait on official confirmation by @Ford Motor Company :
* Geographical location
* Availability for wifi while charging(!) : Low latency connection is required due to large dependent module packages supplies by Ford backend services (so it seems). 4G / LTE will not be sufficient... My personal use-case of only using public charging (no home charging) excludes me from SOME updates. (no Wifi) Is this the case?
* Being on a managed VIN list
* Their relationship with the dealers providing the service of updating the car 'free of charge' (overnight or for a couple of hours/days)
My questions is : If Ford is serious with CI/CD (continuous integration continuous delivery) what is their formal policy on this? Are we entitled (yes, I use this word deliberately) to ALL updates? Or only re-actively (after noting this yourself and making an appointment with a Ford dealership without any clear guidelines who will pay for this.) to updates?
No acceptance required for us...Production Date: 2020-11-20
Shipping Date: 2020-12-26
Dealers Date: Received 2021-01-21

Received and accepted today. It needs to be accepted in vehicle and update pending tabs are how to set things up in the vehicle.
Car needs to be driven regularly to get the updates, if its sitting parked for days in deep sleep it might not pull the trigger for various reasons. 12V battery needs to be recently charged up and you need to be in AT&T LTE coverage area. When the update is triggered for you, the car has 72 hours to download and install it before it expires and another trigger is generated. The assumption is most people would be driving the car every 72 hours or more in most cases. Finally on Sunday I decided that I was over it and figured it'll happen eventually or I'll end up with a service appointment. Well on Monday I took the family out for a day trip and funny enough the car updated while parked in a parking garage in the middle of the day.
I think most updates will come over AT&T LTE, only the very large GB updates like SYNC or the BlueCruise/camera module (IPMA module) updates will need WiFi.I received the update even though I didn't enable the WiFi connection.
Maybe that is why the update screwed up my charge, departure and battery conditioning functions?
Hmm....
A watched pot never boils? Built in 4/21 and I was anxiously waiting for my first OTA, mostly just to be sure OTAs worked. Checking daily and was always disappointed.

So build date 4/21, delivery on 6/13/21, and my first OTA (1.6) on 8/2/21.
I drive it every day (even if it's just a few miles) and while at home I practice ABC (always be charging). I don't think I've ever hit deep sleep.Car needs to be driven regularly to get the updates, if its sitting parked for days in deep sleep it might not pull the trigger for various reasons. 12V battery needs to be recently charged up and you need to be in AT&T LTE coverage area.
