Has anyone actually gotten a delay email?
It doesn't seem like it does it? Not a single person has mentioned receiving it.

There is no date on the email, and I remain skeptical that it is current. It seems more like a proposed email campaign that never actually happened. Ford may have contemplated comp-ing customers with some free charging but ultimately decided against it. Given that GTs now appear to be on track for September delivery, which is exactly what they promised originally, I could easily see that being the case. ?‍♂

Let's see what happens with the hundreds of GT orders now marked "in Transit" with September delivery dates. If none of them reach their first stop in Palsapp in the next couple weeks, then we can conclude that the tracking info is BS and there is indeed further delays ahead. To me that seems like a better guide than arbitrarily waiting for some ominous email that may never come.

So, if the predictions are near to being correct... A May 3 order with a 24 week delay has an October 18 build date. That's outside the included dates in the email.

Assuming the minimum 6 weeks is only 6 weeks, my car MAY be built around Dec 1, 21. The way things are looking, I'm getting my '21 car in January '22.

How about if the keep the $30.00 in electrons and just badge anything built after October as a '22?

Then why do they still say waiting on chips on the visibility reports? waiting is waiting, transit or not it would seem.

That's based on what, maybe a dozen or so VVRs that have been reported on here? There are thousands of orders covered by the week 7/4 onward timeframe, so that represents only a tiny sample.

I'm not saying that there are zero Mach-Es still waiting for parts. Some may very well be. But right now, tracking information suggests that at least 400 or so are actually on their way to dealerships. Let's see what happens over the next couple weeks with palsapp statuses.

None of this is good news for getting my repairs completed. My Mach-E is in the shop after a car accident and I'm thinking that getting parts is going to be TOUGH.

How do you all locate Mach E's on lots? Just call dealers? Think I'll try to find one on a lot without ADM (lol).
Search on ford.com and autotrader.com. Once you find one contact the dealer via e-mail to confirm it's actually for sale, that there's no ADM/dealer adds, and that they will accept X Plan. Start a spreadsheet to keep track. Good luck.

The Ford Order Tracking site indicates my MME4XP was "In Production" on 7/8/2021, "Build Start" was 7/4/21, and is now "Built," without a date. Current status is "In Transit."

Just talked with the dealer who pulled the VVR which shows it is still waiting on a chip at the factory, doh.

My read on the purported e-mail from Ford is that "the completion of production" has slipped 6 weeks," which would mean 8/19/21 for me, as opposed to 7/9/21 which showed up in an early tracker report. All idle speculation of course.

Ford Mustang Mach-E 6 week delay email going out soon to Mach-E order holders with production from July 5 - October 1 91331EE5-EB3C-41CE-8693-4C0623055ABC

While it’s still shows on hold for chip in Vehicle Visibility, I’m still hopeful that I will see complete and shipped soon to hopefully have it before Labor Day weekend. ?

I, for one, would welcome a six-week delay. Maybe I'm the only one.

(My car got scheduled earlier than I was expecting, or wanting.)

Labor day 2021?

Welcome to the forum. The abundance of orders and the chip shortage is a one-two punch nobody was ready for. Adjust your expectations accordingly.

I'll bet Munro will sell you most of the parts you need.
