The article I read said it was for orders placed after July 5th.

I think they mean a build date after July 5. I ordered mine on Feb 22 and got the email today. My original build date was the week of July 5.

Might be. I ordered back in May and still don't have a build date. Maybe I'll get the build date and delay email at the same time.?

It for build dates after July 5th. Mine was first scheduled for week of 7/11. Then got pushed to 7/18 and now it’s delayed to infinity and beyond.

So I guess the best way to view this is that if you don't have a build date yet (like me) you won't have one earlier than Oct 1.

I have a production date of August 9th via the tracker. I am not sure what to make of it though.

So I guess the best way to view this is that if you don't have a build date yet (like me) you won't have one earlier than Oct 1.

I imagine it depends in part on how well/how poorly the chips arrive in the coming month or so. If they're expecting or receive just enough to fill these orders... or less... then yeah, there's a domino effect. If they get a stash to fill these orders and beyond, then maybe not. I'm not sure Ford even knows at this point.
