Um, well, I have a job, actually own two thriving and fast growing tech companies and my time is worth more than satisfying you, my friend.

I'm new to this and:
  1. Wanted to share what I reasonably could on the weekend for enthusiasts
  2. I realize I was very blessed and thankful to have apparently received delivery, or at least publicly proclaim, of the first 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition vehicle.
  3. Responding to questions up to the point I had to focus on my companies this week
  4. Took more video and some additional content at 4:30 - 5:00 in the morning a few times this week, haven't had time to polish and publish.
  5. It was brought up early by few commenters that there could be some big money in monetizing a review and more details on YouTube. I quickly explored it, my personal YT account doesn't qualify for monetization, got deflated a little, and subsequently realize that pure ad clicks probably won't amount to much anyhow. Would have to build a significant infrastructure like subscriptions, Patreon, etc. To me, that doesn't have a lot of ROI given my time
  6. but I will try to keep feeding the beast that is the Mach E and EV enthusiast, who mostly are great people but some, well, you know.
  7. I don't have comparisons to other models to make, just a layman's take, which I can be creative in sharing the excitement and thrill.
  8. I've allowed about 6 other people drive it, some on video to get their reactions.
  9. Stay tuned and please be patient.
  10. And for life of me, I can't figure out why people call me OP. I see there was a blue ribbon on my profile thumbnail with OP, but don't know what it means as my profile name is 0T60-3.5 ... ??? Anyone can answer that?
  11. Lastly, I haven't read through all comments, have any other GT PE been delivered, any other sharing of photos / thoughts, or reviews by now (Friday noon, Aug 27)?
Thank you for everything you have done. It was very kind of you. This forum is insatiable, so don't even try to satisfy it. Enjoy you life and your car!!

Undecided on daily driving in winter. I'm already gun shy of any rain or storms in the area, so probably will try to keep it as pristine as possible and have another plan / car available for winter driving. If I would, I will definitely get mud/snow tires for winter - but I know some people get new wheels and swap full wheels/tires between winter and summer.
I swap full wheels/tires. I get the combos swapped as a "tire rotation" for $10/tire. MUCH cheaper than deflating/dismounting/remounting/reinflating/rebalancing/replacing tpms sensors twice a year.

Good to know, thanks for advice --- now where would I go to get new wheels / rims? Would one think to match the existing hot looking ones for winter?

Whether you match the original wheels is purely up to you. The only one you need to please is yourself. If you match them, be prepared. ford wants an arm and a leg for them.

There are a few aftermarket wheel companies on this forum who have some wheels for the Mach-E. There are also a few wheels at Tire Rack and other wheel and tire vendors.

There are also some members selling their stock wheels.

It depends on what you pay for the wheels. The OEMs from Ford are $5k+ for a set, plus a set of TPMS. I'm going to just swap back and forth to Blizzaks twice a year for now. They don't charge me that much. They were about $50/set when I was mounting Hoosiers to my track wheels. If you can pick up someone's takeoffs cheap, then go for it. Otherwise you're going to spend a lot more on an extra set of OEM wheels. It will be interesting to see what aftermarket options become available in the GT sizes.

No...WAY too expensive. There are many wheel companies with much cheaper (but heavier) wheels. Try American Racing Wheels. Look for "flow-formed rims"...cheaper than fully forged. Should be able to get a nice set of 4 for $800-$1,000.

I have asked TireRack about it and they don't have the GT specs yet but would assume something soon. I want to put 19" for winter tires, but concerned not enough clearance for the calipers. I will be just buying full set (wheel/tire) for the winter as room to keep in the garage.

I was also planning on asking about 19" for winter tires. We'll see! Those rotors and calipers are huge behind there though. Would be tight!

And in NH it will be colder before NJ so will need sooner than later. Whenever anyone finds out (or I get an answer) will make sure update the post.

I wonder if that GT badge has pins/clips behind it.
Yes it does.

I would prefer a nice pony with a subscript GT or something like that.
Since the Pony and GT badges both have the rear clips in the same area, you can easily replace the GT badge with a pony one. Then you can take your GT badge and remove the clips, clean off the sticky tape and put new 3M double stick tape on (or buy a new GT badge and just remove the clips) and place it wherever you want on the rear.

I plan on replacing the GT badge with the pony one because I prefer having a pony on the rear and I won't be adding back the GT badge anywhere.

Why would you buy a Gt and make it look like a non GT? LOL

I wouldn't be making it look like a non GT. It will still have the unique GT front end, red painted calipers, interior, etc. I would just be replacing the GT emblem with a pony one because I like the pony better. Besides, my license plate will reflect it is a GT (MMEGTPE).
