Good question and I wonder if it is and different for the ipass? Side question, do I want to tarnish my fancy new car with the eyesore transponder?

Maybe car manufacturers should install hidden transponders that work with the tollways.
Or how about being able to use your phone as the signal producer with WiFi, NFC, or Bluetooth and no need for another dongle?

I was talking about as a bystander listening to the traffic -- that's almost all tire noise. Not really relevant though. Your correct, inside the car, the wind is probably the primary noise factor after the engine.
Oops misunderstood, but even inside the cabin depending on the road surface the tires can also contribute towards a lot of noise, if the mach-e has a nice quite cabin when driving on the cracked and shattered concrete that is passed of as being as freeway around my neck of the woods :( then that will be a bonus in my book :) as lovely smooth quite tarmac is a rarity in these parts.

Sadly, the Model Y is rated to tow 3,500 pounds. As with any electric though, with massively decreased range.

What noise is there to cancel?

EV's are very quiet by their nature. Sure there is a slight whine to them but in general very quiet. Especially when stopped--no motor idling.

The first time I stopped at a light in the rain in my Focus Electric surprised me at how loud the rain was.
Wind, road, tire, and external vehicle noise (other vehicles, construction, rain, etc)

Can someone shine some light on the MME doors? I've been reading conflicting reports. When they say the door "presents itself" as you approach, does that literally mean the doors pop open a little and then you use the new door handle to open it the rest of the way? OR.....as you approach, does the button illuminate and you MUST press the button before the door opens? I could see the convenience of the door opening for you as you approach, but it seems like a security concern as well.

To the best of my knowledge it is the former option, the button illuminates and you press the button, door pops open.

However, they MAY have an option like the latter, but I have not seen it demonstrated and I believe if it exists, it would be configurable.

It is my understanding that the buttons light up as below when you approach, the door does not open until you push the open button or the proper unlock code.

I've seen it in action. You have to press the button for the door to pop open.

I can live with that. I wonder how it'll perform in the winter time when doors are stuck.
One of the videos discussed this. The mechanism is supposed to be very strong.
