Yeah, I can't find anything recently published that says anything other than "Early next year." Ironically, the news articles about it quote this forum. :)

We can cross that one off our list unless any of our EU/UK members have another idea. Or if Ford actually wants to deliver some cars really early next year. That still leaves a boatload of variables as to when we'll see them in North America (and that odd archipelego 2500 nm southwest of Los Angeles).

Personally I want to take the thing up to the top of Maunkea (13,803 ft/4,207 m) when there's snow on the ground and do a video from there including the ride back down the mountain to the Visitor's Center (9,500 ft/2895 m) "testing" the regen braking ;). So winter works for me.
A while back I drove my PHEV down from Rainier Park Paradise lodge (5400 ft) down to nearly sea level and my range (rated for 47 miles) went up to about 76 miles. Once I hit level ground that range went down pretty quickly.

A friend of ours picked up his brand new Chevy Bolt in Hilo (where all the cars for the island arrive). He drove straight across the island on The Daniel K. Inouye Highway which climbs from Sea level to 7,500 feet before heading down to the west side of the island. Not quite 50% charge at the high point and 80% or so at the bottom.

I'm a bit familiar with the Mt. Ranier area as my wife summited the mountain twice. Not exactly flat roads around there.

My order number is 10032251 and was placed/accepted on 6/27/2020. Should I assume January??

That's an unusual combination. By June the res#'s I saw were much higher. But the date is more important than the number.

For a late-June reservation/order, I'd be thinking way later than January. Probably more like summertime. Late June is nearly the bottom of the list.

Are you glass is half full or half empty kind of person? But assuming Ford can make 5-6k a month. 32k - 4k = ~ 28,000 in line. Worst case takes 4.5-5 months to get to you...and you add transport time. We are expected to see the very first deliver in Oct/Nov time frame. Easy just to use that as the baseline...reservation in 4xxx at that time. Add time your are behind that and you should get a rough idea when you may expect it. We will probably get a clearer picture of the production & order fulfillment after people here start reporting deliveries and track their reservation numbers. I suspect the lower number is for hardcore committed people and we'll see more gaps in numbers as we move up.

I have never ordered a special/first edition or ordered any car so I don't know the process but what if ford does not ship in order of you number but instead ships to locations and favorite dealers?
If this was chevy we know rick hendrick and his dealerships would get the first order of C8s regardless of order number
Has ford ever said or posted first come first delivered?

Just asking

FE is the VIPs...they are first in line  All FE should be delivered by end of the year. All other trims (Select, Premium, CA-1) are grouped together in economy. GT are the slated for summer of 2021.

When did you make a reservation? Or did you make a reservation before converting it to an order? Keep in mind that reservation/order numbers are not sequential according to Ford. Those with converted reservations will be ahead of those who did not have a reservation at all at least within any given production run.

Another factor is the dealer cars being built, and the EU/UK versions. There are 20,000 cars destined for the North American market (or so anyway) and 30,000 for the EU/UK market. Currently, they're prioritizing NA deliveries but that may not last forever.

Out of curiosity, how will Ford ship Mach E to Hawaii? Presumably, there is not nearly enough Mach E orders to fill a boat. How many extra months do you expect it will take for the vehicle to reach you? How did your friend's Bolt reach Hilo?

Slight correction: All FEs for US delivery should probably make it in 2020.

Via Matson from Oakland, Long Beach, or Seattle. Then it goes to Honolulu then barged to Hilo. All RORO. They depart with a huge number of cars from private individuals (like us -- we bought our Raptor on the mainland, drove it to Oakland and shipped it), and all the various manufacturers. Their harbor car facility usually has a couple of hundred cars at a time in it.

If they don't use Matson, they'll use Pasha from San Diego. Same deal, RORO.

Little tidbit. If you leave your charge cord out where it can be found (like your supposed to) when shipping a BEV yourself, Matson will charge it for you when you call to arrange to pick it up. Just ask.

About $1300 westbound on Matson in February IIRC.

Technically, in this situation, glass half full, especially if it was delayed until April. My current lease ends then, so I'd have minimal rollover if I take delivery in April, if any at all. January or December delivery, I would be rolling in a few thousand dollars.

Reservation date was 1/15/2020. ORDER conversion date (day one) was 6/27/2020.
