I really liked the whole discussion. Coming from being a machine/tool designer, it is great to hear the background & progression.
On a stupid side, they left the Mustang II off of there "mustang progression body style" graph. I was looking at all the different models I have had over the years. Having had a 76 mustang cobra of those years, it was always the bad step child.

Where can you get put on the list to get notified of these seminars?

As others have said, it was a great first presentation. I hope they have more and maybe they can just post answers to all of the questions that were submitted. I'm sure they will never have enough time to do these Show and Tells, but there are so many questions that we don't have answers to (other than supposition), Maybe an FAQ thread on the forums . . . .

Thanks for posting the video! I really liked seeing the various iterations and progressions of the front end / grill area. And after seeing the other options, I'm even happier with the final choice they made.

To bad it didn't follow through to production.

Maybe blame Tesla on that, I think what we are getting is the 4 door equivalent. Concepts are often way cooler, but then management steps in and poof. The end state should appeal to a larger community, which is how Ford can stay afloat these days. Either way I still like it and can't wait till I get it.

I'm really sorry they didn't go with that front "grille". But as an engineer I realize you have to make compromises to live within design constraints.

On a lighter note, from presentation the panelists referred to the grill as a "horse collar". Remember the last "horse collar " Ford grill ? Yes, that would be an Edsel. And they sold more of those in the first year than the Mach e is scheduled for. A shame they didn't use GT "grill" on the other Mach e models, but creative minds will find a solution.

The presentation was a great opportunity to really hear from the designers' hearts. To be able to get an hour with the top design leaders of the vehicles was truly awesome. This really allowed us to hear about the WHY behind the design rather than just the what.

Agreed, we didn't get a lot of new intel. It would be great if we could have more of these discussions with the MME team, especially Team Edison and really target our questions to the teams.

Now I think it's time to talk about the future of the electric ponies. Taking about their time schedule, when do they start the production and when do they stop talking and start with action. News, not oldies are now mir interesting for us.

I enjoyed watching the presentation this morning. Not mind blowing info but still cool to hear and see the process.

I liked how they described the need for a 4 door Mustang. They said how most have outgrown the classic Mustang. Which is so true. Many have families and want to take advantage of the added cabin and cargo space. Some have “outgrown” the sport cars and want to slide in to more of a family sized vehicle but not sacrifice the styling, edge and name recognition.
I’m 42, with no kids and this will be my 3rd Mustang. Currently own a ‘68 and an ‘07 and ready to graduate, if you will, to the next step.

I think the very first question was about availability of demos for test drives. Gave a very quick "by the end of the year" response and blew right past any elaboration. Was disappointed in that response.

Excellent wrap shop near my dealer. When dealer gets their first car I'll have shop look at bumper. Issue will be the edge of the bumper where the "horse collar" stops which looks like it is part of the molded bumper. Other than that carbon fiber (real or simulated) wrap preserves the original bumper, protects it, isn't affected by stretch film during installation and is easily reversed. Fall back is custom air brush - but no going back from that. What is a shame all the emphasis on "tri bar" for headlights and tail lights but the first mustang didn't have that, but the grill design has changed little over the years which the GT grill does follow.

Only just getting round to watching but first thing I noticed that no one commented on was the "exportable power" at the 7:20 mark. Do we think Ford want to eventually enable the MME to provide power to a home??
