This video at time 8.40 shows a regen/ power gauge on the instrument cluster. I haven't seen this shown anywhere else? Is this in OTA 1.7.1 or is this only a 2022 model thing to come later to other cars?

It looks a little added on as the icon is too large for the space. The spacing for the graphic should have a spacing that is bigger than the lightning icon. However I am glad it will be there.

Please note that the car the reviewer is driving is a 2021 GT. It is not a 2022.

Well it’s better than nothing, so I’ll take it.

however, I was hoping it would also include numerical or color coded information to indicate kw used/efficiency. I thought my prior Volt did the best job at providing this real time information—it really helped me to learn the best way to extend the battery range.

but still, more useful information is welcome. Hope some of that info ends up with the climate system also to indicate how much energy it is using in real time.

I think you'll find this is an american thing only. You will also not the COMPASS direction in the dash "NW".

I have seen that regen bar before on youtube videos, but only american ones. Don't think the UK will be getting that....Could be wrong....but just my observations.

I could be wrong, but I think this update will be made available to everyone eventually. Probably part of Power-Up 1.8.0 which is primarily an update to the instrument cluster's software.

So far the only Mustang Mach-Es with the power meter on the IC are the ones produced in the last few months.

Guess we should all be aware that this is not a real review of the 2022 models. This really is just about what software updates have changed over time that were released in the GT and what additional features are on the GT over the non. There were no real changes to 2022 model expect for the smaller buffer and some color changes.

I really dislike the title of this video or what it leads one to believe the content actually is.

Shame on you Alex, but hey they don't call it click-bait for nothing.

I have that in my 2021 GT so it is probably part of the latest software.
Yes, came in my GT as well. You'll see it with an upcoming update.

This should come to our cars when they finally release an OTA that updates the IPC module.

Almost every review video I've seen from the press event for the GT has mentioned 2022. It makes me believe that Ford was using the event for showing off the GT, and also to show off changes for 2022 models. From what we've seen so far, all changes for 2022 are software changes. So while technically the cars are 2021 models, they are basically 2022 since they run the newer software.

so... will Powerup 1.8.0 be released OTA, or require a dealership visit for update?

I'd guess it will be the same as all prior Power-Ups. OTA only. If you get a dealer update performed, then it won't be called Power-Up.
I wonder if there is any way to find out where you may be in the queue for automatic update? or, if it is possible to REQUEST or schedule an Update like you can for computer OS or application software?

considering I took delivery in Feb, I'm not even sure what version is running in my MME at the moment. What's the easiest way to see the version running?

Partially true. These 2021 models still miss the software that increases the usable battery capacity and improve the DC charging speed. For me this is the most important difference of 2021 vs 2022 and it is unknown if/when these updates will come to 2021 cars.
