Sure some Tesla drivers are going to feel threatened. And, some non-Tesla drivers are going to complain (ahead of the fact) that Tesla will charge too much. But basically we have to start getting people out of ICE cars. The quickest way would be to remove fossil fuel subsidies which are over 400 billion dollars a year. Driving the cost per gallon to between $12 and $15 a gallon would be a big incentive to switch. So, Tesla making charging an EV super easy can only help.

If you would be traveling as a non Dutch in NL and like to use a Supercharger you can create a Tesla account with the "home" in the Netherlands and you would be able to charge. The pictures above is done through such account. ;)

It is a bit tricky, but doable, only just outside the white box and no problem for the next stalls☺
I don't think you realize it but you're parked in the spot next to where you should be. The 1B stall is indicated where the blue arrow is. You're essentially taking 2 stalls since the stall to the right cannot be used by another Tesla.

Hmm the stall to the right of me was available so was the parking space. It seems because they have the charging port on the left of the car you are correct, next time I will park on the last stall.

There were only 3 cars charging of the 20 possible, so I am forgiven?

Forgive my ignorance since I have never used a supercharger. Are the cords extendable? If not, I don't see another way he could possibly charge with it reaching.

It's probably not an issue when there's capacity. The issue is probably more in high traffic areas. If this were to open up in the United States and Canada, there will be a lot of angry Tesla owners in spots that are typically at 75-80% capacity at peak hours, especially on the older V2 superchargers where stalls are in pairs and the charging speeds are dropped in half when another vehicle is in your shared stall. This is why you'll see cars parked at every other stall, if possible.

No, the cords are a fixed length designed specifically for Tesla vehicles since the charge port is on the left taillight (driver side rear for LHD vehicles). This is for the stalls that are designed to back in. There are some stalls that have pull through designs so non-Teslas may be able to charge at those locations without taking up two spots/two stalls.

The main issue is the length of the cord, which isn't long enough to reach the Mach-E, Audi e-tron, or any EV with the port on the left front fender/driver's side (on LHD vehicles).

So then basically he has to take up two stalls regardless

Correct. Not exactly ideal for non-Teslas. I was hoping they'd have a solution to avoid this before rolling it out in Beta but apparently they aren't doing anything, at least currently. It's essentially other EVs icing Teslas.

The stall on the right hand side of a line is no problem, usually there is more than one option at the superchargers without hindering others.

If they want this to be succesfull in the EU, just make the cables a bit longer....

You obviously haven't been to a mall in California where 90% of CCS chargers are occupied by Tesla's that aren't charging. Not saying two wrongs make a right, but the irony isn't lost on me. ?

i.e. Westfield Valley Fair in Santa Clara

Problem with spiking gas prices so high immediately is I don’t think the battery capacity exists for 50-80% of all cars being sold being electric at the present.

Meanwhile in Canada... lol not many chargers in Canada, so they can get some bad queue times
