Any idea what ASN means in vehicle status?
I believe that is when the record/freight bill is created (assigned, maybe?) For my vehicle, it corresponds to about two and a half weeks before my originally scheduled build week of August 9.

Well I am officially GRUMPY. Exactly 6 months ago I placed my order. 1 week ago my car arrived at the final rail head and is awaiting truck delivery to my dealer. There is no ETA and the dealer says they haven't had a truck in weeks. From what I understand the car won't leave the depot until they can fill a truck to go direct or make multiple stops along the way. Dealer says nothing they can do and I am not doubting them. All I can do is wait and hope they car comes in not F'd up like some of the post here describe.

I know this is going to sound like a privileged gripe but the dealer is sending the retiree to go get my car at 9am. It’s 3 hours there and 3 hours back. At best that puts them back here at 3pm. I’m planning on going up there at 5. It’s only a high of 45 today so the battery is going to be very low and they only have a level 2 charger at the dealer. I’m probably going to take delivery of a vehicle with only 50% state of charge
Congrats on getting the car!!! I was in a hurry to get mine as well, and only allowed the dealer about two hours to get it ready. I left with about 50% and do not regret it :)

Random question for people who would know. I assume @HuntingPudel would know, but others as well. I've never had summer tires in cold weather. I usually always ran high performance all seasons. The high is going to be 45 degrees today and I predict that will fall when I leave the dealership and its dark. Is the warning about summer tires in cold weather only pertinent to spirited driving? I have to take some curvy roads back home. If I drive like a normal human, I should be ok, right? I haven't ordered a set of replacement tires yet.

You'll be totally fine. Just drive normally. Summer tires only really become hazardous to drive on in below-freezing temps and with snow and ice on the ground.

I'm right there with you! At 7 months (in 2 days) and my MME is in the black hole on it's way to FL... no one can tell me anything and I can't find it in any trackers right now. Other VINs near me seem to just suddenly 'appear' when they arrive at local dealers - so... trying to be patient... Any day now!!

Your summer tires should be OK if drive like a granny with an open fish bowl on the passenger seat. ??

Seriously, if you drive like a normal person (i.e. not like a certain curly-haired dog who posts on Internet forums) you should be fine.

You should be fine. They will be ice skates in snow, not as good at temperatures below 40 degrees, but this whole car will be so new to you that i don't think you will be able to notice yet. Here in Colorado, I now always put dedicated snow tires on for the winter. We live at the base of the Rockies (2 streets away) and have had snow in every month of the year except August. I did make it one winter on Goodyear Eagle F1's in a stick shift with my left arm immobilized, but don't recommend this.

Enjoy your new ride. I want to hear all about it. Let us know if you smiled the whole way home!

I'm a few days over 6 months and my car is in the black hole (hopefully) on it's way to Atlanta. My ETA is 11/13, but my dealer made the mistake of telling me that cars are getting in much earlier than the ETA - which has put me on constant refresh on Palsapp. If he hadn't told me that, I would have just lived with the 11/13 date...but now I'm just sitting around banking on 'Earlier than ETA'!

Welcome to the club. Ford says talk to the dealer. Dealer says Ford doesn't tell them anything. Communication is not happening.

'Constant refresh' - Me too! My ETA was "11/17-11/23", now shows just 11/23, which is all dealer will quote to me as well... but watching nearby VINs seems to indicate they have arrived more quickly than mine is indicating... sold my '13 Taurus SHO in mid-July, when my ETA was 8/14, so 'borrowed' wife's Lexus NX300 FSport in meantime (but - she REALLY, REALLY wants it back now!!)

You guys and your single digit month waits! Makes me grumpy that you’ll be getting your cars quicker than me.
We never really know that it's single digits, now do we???

I bought a "sled" in the meantime. To get me through the winter. A 2012 Volvo S60. Its clean, and I dont beat up our good cars. My wife thinks I am nuts. Maybe I am. ?
