[UPDATE]

DEALER BULLETIN FROM FORD:

Ford Mustang Mach-E Mach-E Price Increases for All Trims Effective December 8, 2021 mache-retail-price-increase-12-8-21

RETAIL PRICE INCREASES EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 8, 2021

Mach-E Select - $1,000 MSRP
Mach-E California Route 1 - $2,000 MSRP
Mach-E Premium - $1,000 MSRP
Mach-E GT - $2,000 MSRP
60P GT Performance Package - $1,000 MSRP
997/99U Extended Range Battery - $1,000 MSRP

Good summary of the price increases courtesy of @RickMachE :

The price increase on 2022s was first given, via email, to the people that had 2021s on order that were converted to 2022s. The website didn't show the 2022s until 10/2, and the price was in fact identical to the 2021 price. People that had 2021s on order that were converted to 2022s were notified the first week of October regarding a price increase and the new battery size. That increase was not to base price - hence the reason that the base price didn't change on the Ford website. That increase raised the base price for the premium by $500, and raised the cost of some colors, like Rapid Red Metallic, from $400 to $495. That increase of $595 was offset by the $750 rebate.

When ordering now, my 2021 that was $56,800 (Premium, extended battery, Ruby Red) and was changed to $57,395 (increase of $595 offset by $750 rebate) is now $58,295. That's a net increase over the 2021 price of $1,495.

The $600 price increase being discussed was not on the base model, it was on the package that included BlueCruise prep, which became BlueCruise-installed, on vehicles manufactured in Job 2. If you have a Job 1 vehicle, and upgrade to BlueCruise, then there was no price change, in fact you save $100, when you finally upgrade.
I didn't see this shared here. Apologies if I missed and there's already a thread. Is this story posted today true about additional and much larger than previously announced price increases coming to 2022? I'm thinking no, but curious if there's insight.

2022 Ford Mach-E Getting Up To $3,000 Price Increase
Ford is preparing to increase prices next week on the Mustang Mach-E. According to a bulletin sent to dealers, the all-electric SUV will see a price increase of up to $3,000 on some configurations. If you're looking to lock-in current Mach-E prices before the change, now may be your last chance to place an order.

The changes will take effect on December 8th and will affect every 2022 Mach-E. At the entry-level, both the Mach-E Select and Premium will see a $1,000 increase in MSRP. Higher up the range, the California Route 1 and GT will be $2,000 more expensive. Sadly, the actual price increase could be even higher.

That's because Ford is increasing MSRPs on both the GT Performance Package and optional Extended Range Battery by $1,000. As a result, some buyers could see a total price increase of up to $3,000. The Performance Edition currently costs $5,000 and can go from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds (vs. 3.8 in the GT).

While mid-year price increases aren't unusual, we consider these changes unusually large. The Mach-E has faced a number of production issues and continues to have a wait of up to 28 weeks. Delays recently compelled the brand to begin automatically converting existing Mach-E orders to the 2022 model year.

As we reported back in October, the 2022 Mach-E debuted with the same starting price as the 2021 model. Although it's unclear why Ford didn't simply increase prices from the start when the latest SUV went on sale, now could offer a chance to place a firm order for a Mach-E before prices go up on Wednesday.

Current Mach-E prices start at $43,995 with destination before incentives. Mach-E deals continue to offer interest rates as low as 0% APR and a lease-like choice called Ford Options Plan. As before, Ford Credit isn't passing along a $7,500 federal tax credit on leases, making the Mach-E smarter to buy than lease.

A Ford spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

If accurate, I wonder what would happen to 2022 orders that are already placed.

I suspect that Ford has some favorable discussions with Washington re: its classification of the MME SUV vs station wagon for tax credits. Otherwise why would Ford push out more people eligble for the possible new tax credit under BBB.. I was under 55K before but not now with an addional 1K for premium and 1k for extended battery.

According to article 'The changes will take effect on December 8th and will affect every 2022 Mach-E. '
They're referring to all trims after that date

"If you're looking to lock-in current Mach-E prices before the change, now may be your last chance to place an order."

I still read it that EVERY 2022 has the price increase. Not sure how placing an order now will avoid the increase. FORD what is the real answer here.

We don’t know how accurate the article is, but they make it pretty clear that orders placed before 12/8 will lock in the old prices. Not sure how it could be read any other way.

I'm guessing if you order before, you're probably safe. There is such a long line for EVs across all manufacturers and the still persistent supply chain/cost increases that I think all EV makers or pretty much anyone selling anything will raise prices if they can or need to. There are increased costs for them as well.

Since Ford gave existing orders a $750 credit on 2022 prices vs 2021 prices, I'm assuming they're not going to just tack on $1k or $3k to existing orders neither.

We'll have to see and hope Ford doesn't screw over people with existing orders at least.

Remember that Tesla raised prices by 10k already on the MY this year alone (the cheapest version).

From the article:

“While mid-year price increases aren't unusual, we consider these changes unusually large.”

Unusually large? Lol. It’s $1k on the select and premium. That’s around 2%. Even the $3k bump on a GTPE would only be 4%.

If anything I would consider it “unusually tiny!” Inflation was around 5% this year. Anything less than a 5% bump in price is a GIFT from Ford.

What a horribly biased article! It also isn’t “mid year.”

Heck, Tesla increased the Model Y by $9,000 already this year!

I also think the OP should change the name of this thread. I don’t think it’s “another price increase.” Last time they dropped prices. The $600 later on was just including bluecruise rather than charging for it later.

Not surprising. I think their initial price cuts in Fall 2020 were a mistake from the company’s perspective. Even without the chip shortage, it was clear the Mach-E was generating a lot of interest and that kind of price cut was probably not needed right out of the gate. But from a buyer’s perspective, I won’t complain!

I’ve followed the Premium prices most closely. Those dropped $3,000 in Fall 2020 before deliveries started, then went up $500 for 2022 and now will go up $1,000 or $2,000 depending on whether extended range battery is optioned or not, so still $1,500 and $500 below original 2019 reveal prices (because Premium SR now back up $1,500 and Premium ER up $2,500 from their lows).
