Ok so I'm trying to purchase my 2021 Mach-e Premium. My Ford dealership recognizes Ford Options but tells me the following:
  • They don't have to give me the available incentives
  • They don't have to honor the advertised rate and we usually mark it up
Where my urgent issue lies is that my dealership says the Ford Options incentive doesn't exist, even though I've pulled it up on the Ford.com website. They tell me the Ford.com website is INCORRECT. They keep referencing other Ford bonus cash offers via a tool called "Vincent". What they're not understanding is that this incentive is directly related to Ford Options and they can't seem to wrap their head around that.

So, I'm hoping one of you great people can help me, help the dealership understand how to find the Ford Options incentive for my state.

I've pinged @hybrid2bev via PM and am hoping he can help. Anyone else out there who knows what I can do here?

I just replied to your message. I see in your profile that you are from northern VA. Assuming you don’t live in Washington D.C. where Ford Options is not available. Otherwise the dealer may need some help from their Ford Credit dealer representative.

Got your PM - thanks again.

Another dealership's GM helped me sort it out (for now). I'll be going back on Monday to finalize. All the sales paperwork will be dated 12/31 so I can get a tax credit for 2021.

Which dealer? It is likely that there are other Northern Virginians that have bought from that dealer with success and can give you some directed advice.

Jerry’s Ford in Leesburg, VA. I was able to get it done, but they wouldn’t honor my X-plan after all, even though I had a signed purchase agreement.

Ironically, our MY22 order is with Koons Sterling Ford, and that’s who I called to bail me out of this mess at Jerry’s Ford. Matt Newman, new sales manager, is a godsend. Koons Sterling Ford honors X-plan on all order which is nice. Definitely will be using them from now on.

Damn, I stinks to hear you encountered this after such a long wait! I hope you’re able to get the car via optical NS and without ADM!

Congratulations on making it to the finish line! (Did your car just suddenly arrive? Did the hold get lifted first?)

TBH it was fully anticipated. Even though I asked 2 separate times about the finance department being able to do Ford Options, they reassured me all would be fine... NOT!

Also no, my MME is still on hold, in Delaware - go figure. I was able to convince the GM to sell the unit to report another sale for year end, AND to get my tax credit for 2021. They also verified my vehicle has had no open recalls, including the recent rear seat belt anchor. As soon as it arrives, I can pick it up.

Hopefully that will be soon. I’m now hearing about thermal management issues with the Ionic 5, so just as well to wait for my Mach-E, which is still on hold and part of the seat belt recall. I’d pick it up and install the HeliCoils myself if allowed!

You may not want to post that openly on the Internet in case you get audited.

Well now I can't do anything about it since you felt the need to quote my comment.

Ford should ditch the dealers that screw the customers as well as fire the person at Ford that told the customer to go buy a Tesla! Cadillac just shut down over 300 dealers that would not make the investment to go fully EV. Ford needs to clean its dealers house as well.
I ordered through the dealer, got an invoice for what the car will cost at delivery, and they kept their word. If they won't be fair, go to a different dealer, I can make a nice road trip with the savings on a $10K mark up! There is a list of Ford dealers that do not add "market value" mark ups, DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND SAVE!
I bought my MME from Hennessy Ford, Atlanta and was treated great! We got the X plan discount that paid for the 8 Year Bumper to Bumper extended warranty and at the MSRP! Great people there no BS, no "Market Value" knives in the back! Finance guy joked around about getting three free oil changes with our new purchase. I will go back there for service and a Ranger.

Doesn't seem to be the case with the AWD models. Also, Hyundai is rolling out changes rather rapidly and launching MY23 units as early as late spring/early summer which will include refined OTA capabilities, slightly more battery capacity among a few other notable changes. I'll be considering an Ioniq 5 starting MY23.

I did also read of a handful of people with the AWD units getting 300mi of range in Eco mode, when the vehicle disconnects the front motor. That's rather reassuring.
