OTA Power-Up 2.1.0 is out

Nearly all of Ford America has been off the past two weeks except for critical operations. I wish I had a better answer for you on when soon is, but not only do I not have that, I am not authorized to share it if I did. I am just trying to provide reassurance that the issue is not forgotten and there is active work going on regarding it. And the CSP might fix a few of the stuck 1.7.1 people but the majority of them will need this other fix applied.

I share the little information I do because I agree the communication sucks but I can't share too much because I enjoy being employed more

Ah, okay, completely understand.

Being that it is an OTA fix, it doesn't really seem like a fix. You can go to a dealer now and they can force install 1.7.1, unless your car doesn't take it. If they're fixing that, that is great, but it doesn't do much for all the people in this thread as then they have to go to the dealer, blah, blah. Hopefully they've at least identified the issue and 2.1 won't have this problem nor the much anticipated BlueCruise update!

I think they are pretty close after the CSP except for BC

Not really. They kind of cross. Some modules are newer in Job 1 cars after the CSP than Job 2 cars, while some big ones are still older, like Sync.

My car was built October 2021 and it has many of the fixes but it doesnt have Notes or Tic-Tac-Toe (although the frunk button inside the frunk does work and sends me a notification when its used). How do owners of June and onwards builds get these new features like Notes then?

The only apps I have are Fordpass and the Drawing app.

Got the update sometime yesterday I believe so hopefully this means that they'll be rolling out something bigger soon.

Just drove the car for the first time since the 2.1.0 update. When I powered up, there was a Service Soon message and a wrench. I powered down, opened door, closed door, and powered up and the message was gone.

When I got home, I noticed a bunch of SecuriAlerts. I have never had that functionality. Back when that update came, I got a message with the ability to activate it in the message, but it always failed. Then the message vanished. Today I now have SecuriAlert with 2.1.0.

However, when I go into it, it's "OFF", and there is a scheduled called "Test" that is everyday. And I get messages saying that FordPass isn't responding.

When I was out, I repeatedly opened and closed doors. Only the last 2 show as alerts, so it turned on when I got home, not during the errands.

I’m going to guess it will be when Job 1s are brought up to the same level as Job 2s. IE, with blue cruise and other improvements.

I think I figured out what 2.1.0 did. Prior to this update, the horn/lights button was only available within Bluetooth range. Now it's available when Bluetooth is disconnected.

It's been that way prior to 2.1.0 for a lot of us. Not sure why it just changed for others since 2.1.0 only updates the gateway module. We've seen server-side changes before (like hiding the frunk button), so maybe that's what's going on here.
