What I've learned is that the EA stations for fast charging are limited unless you stay on I interstate and major city locations.

The drive through is good observation and still goes back to my statement buying an ev truck right now with set towing needs and expectations will probably be frustrating and disappointing.

Give the length of the truck, I doubt that will be an option.
Let me explain different. See picture below. Assume the spaces weren't drive-through (which they really aren't as you can see by lines). F-150 backs into space on the passenger side of the ID-4. That charger, with the screen facing the ID-4, does NOT have a screen on the other side. F-150 uses that charger, while parked in the other space.

I understood what you were saying.
You could make it work either way at that station shown by intruding into the other parking lane.
Based on what my EA station looks like, I envisioned the charge door location of a Lightning being out in the driving lane when backed in. Maybe my perception of the distances is inaccurate.

When ordering our Mach e today our internet sales guy told me that with today's release each dealer gets one (1) F-150 Lightning and it's his understanding that's what every dealer gets right now.

We stopped by our dealer yesterday after a call that said we could order…. I’m 11th of the 19 Lightnings allotted and if we ordered it yesterday (which we still can’t …. yet), our sales rep said we’d see it late summer or early fall.. which means ah.. late ‘21… if that. I’m beginning to wonder when Ford will trip that $7,500 tax credit limit.

On the way home I said to the S.O.; “Do you realize we could buy 2-3 Maverick’s for the price of a Lariat Lightning!”.

He printed out all the spec/order information and the Lariat seems to be the best fit. I need to be able to tow a 21’ I/O boat and a ‘41 9N Ford tractor w/implement so I need at least the same as my old ST Adrenalin (~7200 lbs with equalizing hitch).

it appears the Mi/KWh will be around 2.0 and the standard 32 amp 240v charger will work as my daily charging for the~90 mile round trip will take 10-15 KW more. I’ll probably separate-offset the charging times between the MME & Lightning IF we decide order and IF we buy.

A Maverick with the 2WD MME power train would be sweet!

I think 2.2 mi/kWh is what we should expect for this truck.

Yeah, I am not expecting to get one either. I placed my reservation about 3 or 4 minutes after the reveal but I got skipped over somehow.....probably at the dealership level.

Oh well, isn't the end of the world since I still have my Super Duty and it runs fine. 425k miles, but works great still. :)

I was just hoping for a lower cost "Vehicle to Grid" option, but guess not anytime soon.
....you CAN use your MME, plus an external Inverter, and have 'emergency V2g'.... lower output for sure, probably less than 2000watts to be safe, but enough for emergencies.

Good news. Customer Lightning builds are being scheduled. Mines in mid-May but I’ve seen as early as mid-April
