I don’t get why the UK is so far behind. I’m on 1.4 and that’s the latest apparently

Created a poll on the European section to get a better understanding on the OTA roll-out status outside NA. Seems that all European owners who have voted don’t have a version installed over 1.6.0 (which I am currently on for example). It’s just a waiting game I am afraid..

apologies in advance as i havent read through all 23 pages of posts here. Quick question though. Did this update give BOTH android auto AND apple carplay full screen ability, or JUST apple carplay? Im a job 2 android user, so im hoping that full screen android auto functionality is now being given to all you Job 1ers out there. If so, maybe it will come to me...one day...

My car doesn't get this update, But i'm going to assume its CarPlay only. The GT's have been able to do fullscreen carplay with their version from the factory, but AA is still limited in size.

Does Android Auto support dynamic screen resizing in other cars? If so, I would think it will come to the MME eventually.

I'm not sure on that. I know the car is what tells AA what resolutions are available. And other cars have found a way to edit the config to report a higher resolution to get full screen. I just don' t know if it able to switch resolutions on the fly.

Do you guys have Scheduled Updates enabled or just Automatic? Trying to pull
down my update but nothing. Drove around and nothing. OTA debug says “delivery in progress”.

Yeah, not sure I agree with the aesthetic choice there. Those bars look kinda out of place with the rest of the color scheme on that screen. Maybe we can file a class action lawsuit?

My Mach E GT has always had bars that look like this. My layman's trial and error leads me to believe the padding around the green bars isn't dynamically switching between like and dark mode like the rest of the UI. Pretty sure it's a bug.

My 1.7.1 failed although it seemed like I got everything except update notice.

My 1.7.1 update had the same issue. All the features, but didn’t get the notification. When I went into the OTA status on the ford site it said it had failed and the car was “undrivable”, even though it was.

That’s good to hear that your 2.3.0 went fine. That makes me hopeful that mine will go through too. Are you in early access?

I got the update at the dealer with the “24 days to sort of address the glass recall”. Alarm settings still don’t stick, randomly asking on exit every day or two. Keeping screens dark still doesn’t stick. The trip meter still doesn’t reset with each trip. Remote start gets a guest profile instead of the profile assigned to the key/paak.
But hey… a new game.

I was also having the issue where a remote start would get assigned to the guest profile. I discovered that my phone was not linked to my profile (even though PAAK was enabled). Check under profiles to make sure your phone is linked to your profile as that seemed to do the trick.

What are your options then for trying to redownload it? You have to wait for another completely new software update version?

I would hope that it will try again on the next push for this software (i presume in a week or two when they push to people who aren't in the early access program)
