Not gonna do this. I have pass+ and sometimes maybe like 1 in 10 the charging station fails to bill me so I get more savings there lol.

But I do want them to take my money to help make it better..

yeah EA is good when it is free, .43 cents per KWH is outrageous. In Oregon, we pay around .10 cents per KWH. Even going with other DCFC such as Greenlots, they charge a whopping .19 cents KWH.

I am not so sure that the EA app differentiates cars by VIN. I have 2 years free charging with the Polestar 2 plan, and it has been working on my Mach E as well....shhhhh
Wow. This seems like something EA/Polestar would have figured out already. If I were building something that was giving away free electricity (read: money), the first thing I would think about is how to determine if the connecting VIN was eligible.

Way, way cheaper to get your tank refilled at Costco. Assuming you have a membership.
$14 for exchange outside at Sam's club, self service and not even sure you need a membership.

Yeah I'm not counting on it lasting forever, but in the EA app it gives me the choice to choose my plan before I begin a charge, and I had the Polestar plan as the default both times when I used the Mach E. ?‍♂

A normal BBQ tank fits nicely in the frunk.
Heh, "filling the BBQ" generally requires 1) Dog, 2) Shotguns, 3) Hunting license. ??

A tank is generally not used to BBQ, it's used to grill. ???

I don’t road trip enough to need either $4/month or $50/year. That might change in the future, but my current pattern is pretty much drive to work, drive home. Once in a while, drive to the grocery store. Once in a while, drive to a dog show. Once in a while, drive to bust some clays. For the time being, filling the BBQ requires the Blazer. I love getting 10 in town and 15 on the highway. ??‍♂?
Your confusing me with cool cars and dog shows in the same post!!!

Seems like a reasonable deal, and I've been waiting for Ford to integrate their Plug and Charge with the EA membership rate. I've had a few situations where the EA app was glitchy and I just plugged in (and paid the higher rate) out of ease and convenience, so this is definitely worth the extra $2/year!

Curious... I heard the new Ioniq 5 had plug and charge too, but doesn't charge to use it. Will the Blue Oval Network have any other charging vendors outside of just EA?

Although $0.43 per kWh is still a slightly better deal than gasoline (depending on mileage). Truth is that EA and other providers are probably barely making any money at $0.43/kWh, given the huge demand fees they pay for the privilege of sucking 1-2 megawatts at a single DCFC location. I'm guessing that most DCFC charging rates will settle around $0.40 - $0.50 per kWh once the market matures a bit, as that's the only way the companies will be able to turn a decent profit.

I don't have this option in my connected services nor would I be likely to use it. I don't public charge much, and if I do I would sign up and cancel month to month with ea+.

What Ford really needs to do is allow us to purchase Kw's from them at like $0.25 price, use Ford points, Earn Kwh's . If they can add 250kw to our accounts why can't we buy Kw for our account?

Everyone else is giving years of free charging away.

Probably, eventually. But EA is by far the most homogeneous network, so it's probably the easiest to implement.
