Don’t go to Lindsay in Wheaton. I called them about the recall and all they said was they didn’t have the parts and didn’t know when they would be in.
Thanks. I took it back to Silver Spring Koons. The service department has trained MME techs and everything went well.

I saw a Space White MME in Leonardtown on route 5 by the McDonald’s Yesterday afternoon. I honked and gave them a thumbs up, but since I don‘t have my Mach e yet they might thought I was just being a jerk, LOL.

Hey, if you were in a Rapid Red MME coming in to scenic downtown Poolesville on Route 109 this morning around 10:15, I was in the Rapid Red MME going out of town. Thanks for the wave!

How fast were they able to get you in, and what did you have done? I don’t really care about the windshield right now but do want the PAAK and 21P22 actions performed. I just moved to DC from Texas and when I spoke to my local dealer before moving up they said it’d be mid-February before they could get it in. The online tool is letting me schedule for as early as Wednesday the 19th but I have a feeling that’s too optimistic.

I wouldn't rely on the scheduling in the app. Call the dealer closest to you to see if they have performed the updates and to see when they can get you in. It should only take a few hours. You want to make sure the EV tech is available when you take it in.

Post which dealers are closest to you and the members may be able to give you feedback on the dealership.

Well I just got off the phone with the Silver Spring Koons and they said it'd take a week to do the glass reseals. If I dropped it off Monday (1/24) then I might get it back in a week. No loaner and only the possibility Ford covers $35 a day for rental. Since the Mach E is the only car I have I can't really be without it for that long.

I then said well what about the PAAK and other CSP updates? Well, he said I'd still have to drop it off for a few days, "those Mach E's, I've seen em take overnight to finish the updates". I said that's contrary to everything I've read from other owners here with the exception of some that kept failing. Regardless, I still can't leave my car over a few days, at least for the weekend, so I passed and said I'd think about it and call back. At this point, I'm willing to just spend the $500 on the cable, a battery maintainer & a 72-hour FDRS license to just do them myself.

I just moved to DC and am living in Brookland/Edgewood area, so any recommendations for other dealers in the area are appreciated. I don't care where, as far as MD/VA goes, I'm willing to go 30-45 minutes away. If I had another car I'd just drop it off and say take your time, but I'd like to work with a dealer that at least knows their stuff.

Yes, I use Koons Silver Spring. They had a hard time getting 21P22 to finish installing. A couple of modules didn’t want to take the install.

Car is currently at Ted Britt in Ffx. Halfshaft finally came in, so getting that repair plus this new cust satisfaction SW update jazz. So far OK, they seem to have worked on our cars enough, at least for software. One was there for the pano roof recall, but he advised me to wait cuz this was their first one and they were "figuring things out" on it. I was already planning to wait and so totally OK with that. Communication hasn't been great... text messages. Sometimes doesn't respond, even to VMs. Not horrible though, typical dealership experience I guess. Getting a loaner seems like a chore, not sure if it's cuz this is just warranty work, but I ended up not jumping through the required hoops to secure one.

Going to try checking in tomorrow for a status. Hopefully get the car back by Friday.
Do you get an email about recalls? I took possession 12/20 and I haven’t seen anything from Ford or Ted Britt about needing recalls. I just want to make sure I’m not missing anything

If you took possession a month ago, you should be fine. Notifications came in the app and by mail.

Hello! I just bought mine 2 weeks ago. I grabbed it used with less 500 miles. I'm in Maryland and between DC and Baltimore a lot. I have yet to see any others out in the wild.

I need to get my windshield recall fixed and I too am worried about being without a car for a whole week. I was originally gonna go to Koons in SS but will see what the Catonsville location says. I also ordered another fob and figured I'd get it programmed when I take it in for the windshield. Has anyone had their second fob programmed by a non-dealer?

I forgot to ask but on Wednesday I passed a white select on westbound Randolph Road in Silver Spring. I honked and waved.
