OMG, if I hadn't gotten the car off the lot, I would be so pissed that this delay is because the dealer wasn't on the ball with making a necessary change in status. I was under the impression nothing needed to be done when the 21 to 22 change notice went out.
Can't guarantee that's what happened, but seems pretty likely based on others experiences. I could be wrong, but I don't think there are hardly any '21 converted to '22s that haven't been scheduled yet (other than those with priority code 99 issues).

I don’t know if Ford will let dealers convert those orders anymore anyway. My dealer said they were unable to convert my 21’ to a 22’ (back in October) and had me order another one so I ended up in the back of the line.

I don’t know if Ford will let dealers convert those orders anymore so it is likely hanging in limbo. My dealer said they were unable to convert my 21’ to a 22’ (back in October) and had me order another one so I ended up in the back of the line and with a 2nd price increase with no rebate. Not sure what’s going on with your order, but if you’re expecting that car to show up I’d be calling the dealer till you get some real answers.

I think the priority code 99 issue happened to people after their orders had been converted to '22s. There were also people like you who had issues getting their '21 orders converted to '22s. Regardless, your last advice is spot on, if he actually wants the order he needs to make sure the dealer gets whatever issues there are corrected. But I'm working under the assumption he is happy with his Premium AWD and doesn't want the original order.

Since I picked up the Premium off the lot, I don't really care what happens to this one. My impression was that the dealer wanted the car so they could sell it when it came in so the order is still in my account and I watch it out of curiosity.

I did not get a production date today either. Should I bother to check to see if anything changes over the next days, or does Ford only schedule on Thursdays?

Premium AWD ER ordered 8/21/21... Still no build date. Getting antsy and tired of it. Confirmed with my dealer two weeks ago that everything "looked good" and the order was properly in the queue. He said he didn't know my priority code. Guess my only option is to call and hassle him again to confirm the code is not 99? 21 weeks waiting so far, and no build date within the next 9

Just noticed my 6/12/2021 order has a production date of 3/28/2022. At some point in October it was changed from a 2021 to a 2022. Last week of the listed builds but I'll take it.

No email about the production date.

Black ER AWD Premium.
I also ordered on 6/12/2021 at a dealership in South Carolina. No email yet but hoping when I call tomorrow that I made it into this batch of scheduling.

Dark Matter Gray ER RWD Premium

I was super busy all day today and finally got to check my account. No production date. I hate Thursdays. I ordered premium SR AWD on 10/19. I realize there’s people who ordered before me and still waiting for a date, but man this is super frustrating!

I'm so glad this forum is here. Makes the wait less depressing

I order a GTPE on 8/29 and It took my dealer a few weeks to convert in Oct but got a notification of the conversion from the dealer and I had a priority of 10 and a 2/28 production date showed but still no update or change to the status under my account on the Ford website. When I placed the order I was in no hurry but I will have to admit this waiting game to get notified for the next step is making me a little anxious.

My situation almost mirrors yours...GTPE online order 8/20....confirmed on Ford site 9/27....visibility report confirmed 10 code....VIN assigned almost 4 weeks ago with a 2/28 estimated build date.

Sept 8: ordered star white premium awd sr
Oct 1: recieved email from ford changing my to 22
Dec 8: I reached out to dealer to check priority code. It was 99 and changed to 11. Immediately got email from Ford confirming. (If you haven't called your dealer to check priority code, do it!)
January 20: discovered build date of March 7 online.

*Fingers crossed the build goes smoothly!

EDIT: What did you order?

I am ashamed to say I have three orders :)

Two Premium AWD/Ext orders listed in my signature - both at Mullinax Ford in Orlando area but different locations. One where I received a "go 75mph anywhere you want" test drive and the other where they explained the ordering process and provided a detailed purchase agreement that we all signed. I'm certain I have full price protection from that dealership (Apopka).

The third... lol. I liked the dealer that sold me my red MME Premium at MSRP (Sun State Ford) - that I ordered a GTPE from them and if I happen to cancel/abandon then I have no issues with them re-selling it because they sold me a MME at MSRP anyhow.
What was the deposit amount required for each?
("My dealer" required $1500 on my order. Now I'm asking them if I can order a second MME on the same deposit since it's 3 times the deposit required at another nearby dealer. I'm looking for insight to dealer practices and ethics.)

I hate to tell you that the one I ordered at a dealership didn’t ask for any deposit. The second one I ordered online that dealer also told me I didn’t need a deposit, but the online system required $500. Although the sales mgr is a close friend of a coworker. Some dealers have different deposit policies. I’m in a similar industry so I know a lot of people who work at car dealerships and my job has similar ordering process, although we require deposits. I’ve spoken with a few FL dealers and all have said they don’t care about the deposit and are happy to order and even happier if you cancel said order.
