did JD say anything about the chicken wing storage capacity of the front cargo area?
At 8:38 an older and relatively taller man hops right out. No dirty finger prints on the roof line.
I think the two are related. The more chicken wings you eat, the more difficult the egress.

Maybe complaining about the handles?
I hope that's all it is because that's very minor to me. I fully expect to be grabbing the door edge 99% of the time rather than the mini-handle.

I had never really thought much about it before, but once the door is already open now, I always grab the edge instead of the handle.

they love the exterior of the Mache. JD talked about finally an EV with some style unlike the car from a pond lol. They really said that and you know who that was about.

The Front frunk was considered best Jd Power also said.
Ford needs to work on the interface of getting to the charging interface and having the audio system more simplified. JD said it was to complex.
The screen has no glare or fingerprint problems like a Tesla which is great.
Guess you can use your phone for setup and lossless audio as a workaround. Not major and was not expecting a gaming machine. If it is not a touch problem should be fine and fixable. We will all see how smooth OTA V1.1 rolls out. Did it brick your Mach ;)

The Egress issue Jd power feels the front sits forward more. So you have to swing more to get out. Jd power did not like the slant of the roof getting in and out of the back seats.
Just looking at a side profile, it's clear how the back seats would take more ducking forward to get in/out of vs a squarer SUV. But it's the back seat. As long as it's not too horrible, I don't care much about the back.

My fully-loaded Escape Titanium doesn't have a power steering wheel column either, or an auto seat-back, and it's not a problem getting in/out. I don't particularly like cars that have the auto seat-slide when getting out anyway, and sometimes we put stuff on the floor behind the seat. That's often where the take-home boxes go after a restaurant meal.

I think there are a few videos out there also saying have to duck getting in, but what car do you not have to duck for lol.

Handling was raved about also. really hugged the corners on the road.

Nothing to do with the seats or height of the driver. JD Power said the seats and ride are par none, better than tesla y or polestar 2. Jd power gave the seat 10 out of 10.

The rest will be solved with updates.

getting in and out watch the guy grab the top to get out at 6:30 mark. I didn't see what was so bad.

I think the egress concern might be just a tad overblown. The hand on the roof upon exit seems to be a more habit item than absolutely necessary. As near as I could tell, he had little or no weight on it. I do the same exiting either my Tacoma or my wife's Raptor for heaven's sake.

If that was a major con from their point of view, I'm more than happy.

Since it's supposed to be a "mustang", in/out of the backseat shouldn't be easy :)

If that's the worse they have to say about the car, I'm sticking with my FE order. While I initially wanted a car that sat a little higher than my Honda Accord, I think I'll be okay with whatever the MME has to offer.
It should be way better that an Accord.

Or maybe I should say, it BETTER BE way better than an Accord.

Me too, but Ford is now offering on-line ordering, which will really remove the dealer from much of the equation and more as a delivery / service center. I think it's not as far fetched as it sounds.

I really just want to know timing right now, I am find with getting great info here and really didn't expect Ford to change it's ways overnight.
It's a matter of time......just not sure when real changes will happen. I guess the first step is to clear away some of the outdated legal restrictions that are in place in many states. For years I used to think that dealerships were an extension of the manufacturer because their sign was on the building. I now understand they are just a distributor and their primary revenue stream comes from routine maintenance and repairs. A complicated machine like a vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine makes it necessary to have some way to service and maintain it. Ford, GM or Chrysler wouldn't be able to sell very many vehicles if there wasn't a convenient method to service the product.

Electric vehicles will reduce this need quite a bit but it still won't go away. There used to be shops to repair your television or radio....a few doors away was a place that repaired shoes and handbags, etc. Now we just throw away those things when they are faulty. I guess EV's will fall somewhere between the two extremes (ICE vehicles and shoes). The drive train on these are practically maintenance free......the other stuff will still need a skilled person to service and maintain. However, I don't know if that skilled person will need to be brand specific any longer. I can imagine a dealership that could sell, service and repair EVERY brand of EV out there. Most all manufacturers (except for perhaps Tesla) source parts like window regulators, tires, 12v batteries, brakes etc from the same pool so the current dealership model doesn't really need to exist.

However, that day is a long way off still. Probably not in my lifetime anyway. I still have to interface with the dealership and make the best of it. :)

Same here. I got used to Sync versions 1-3, no problem, and everyone considered those complex too.
Sync 1-3 were all way overcriticized. Literally every one of them was miles ahead of everything else on the road, bar none, when released. I still remember coworkers raving about Sync 1 in their new Fusions, and a friend being completely blown away by Sync 1 with Nav in my Fusion. The only valid criticism I ever saw was that they could be slow - MFT first release on the Explorer was really slow but that got better. And I have yet to find a better "home screen" after renting dozens of different vehicles than what MFT and Sync 3 have.

People rave about UConnect but you know what? Hit the voice button on there and say "call Mom." You know what it does? Call your mother, like on a Ford? No, it literally scolds you - "to use phone functions, press the phone button." Really, you steaming pile? You know exactly what I want and just don't want to do it? What a inexcusably awful experience. (Yes, you'll get used to having to context switch on the damn buttons.) That constant raving tells me the average car review is complete bullshit on tech stuff.

I think it's like movie reviews. If a critic likes a movie, then I'll probably like it. If they don't like a movie, chances are I'll still like it. They see so many movies that it has to be blown out of your seat exceptional to get any praise.

Car reviewers are probably not representative of "average Joe".

I have always been happy with the sync in my 2015; other than a phone update that screwed up bluetooth for a while, it has always worked well for me. The Uconnect in my wife's 2016 Durango is, as you say, not very good. I've suggested she see if an update is available, which she hasn't done. Just as an example of some silly issue: the thing takes forever to connect with the phone when the car first starts up, if you change the A/C from "max cold" to one notch warmer the rear A/C kicks on full blast, and every time she makes a call from the passenger seat and wants it not to be over the car speaker she has to transfer the call to the phone before and after the other person picks up. In general the whole UI design is squirrelly and it doesn't show simple things logically.

Anyway, I have a feeling sync4a will have growing pains the first year but all will get sorted out.
