I cant get my head around the 3000$ relative upcharge to a Premium now. Seriously considering sticking to Premium

That's what I was expecting, that they just hasn't coded the FE package price increase yet.
They had coded the package price increase of $2,000 already (from $6,600 to $8,600), they were just still using the Premium RWD as the base, instead of the Premium AWD.

I was in the order page and trying to refresh, just spinning. I suspect they took it down to fix it. My Key feature and additional details were back and battery specs fixed when I looked earlier.

Just checked the forum for the first time this morning. All I can say is that Ford is treating us early-adopters better than Tesla, at least they dropped their prices before first deliveries. How do you think Model Y owners felt to see prices drop a couple thousand dollars immediately after receiving theirs?

Yep. I just noticed that too. Still behind on working my way through the thread.

So it looks clear now that the FE really is:
$47000 Premium base
$2700 AWD
$5000 ER Batter
$3600 FE Package (up from $1600)
-----
$58300 (plus $1100 D&D)

That boost to $3600 for FE is a tricky decision now. For me it really just comes down to whether I was to pay extra to try and get it a few months sooner. (Works out to +$2100 for me since there's a $1500 extra tax credit if the FE came in 2020.)

Since I don't really need the car sooner, it's hard to justify not just going back to the Premium still on order.

Looks like there might be some unsold FE's if people bale. I'm hanging in there, since I also have a GT on order and need the FE asap in the meantime. With the drop, the tax incentives etc, this FE still seems like a good value to me.

My premium is still on order but unlikely that I can see it before August 2021. So the 1600 upcharge was reasonable to me to get the FE earlier - but the value at 3600 not so much especially since I dont get to see much credits from CA (due to their tax credit structure)

Not sure what Ford is thinking? Raising the price by $2,000 for FE red calipers, red/blue stitching and door sill plates, to $3,600! The confusion and the lack of straightforward communication has made me reconsider doing business with Ford. I have owned 3 Tesla’s and ordered 2 Mach E’s (one premium and one FE) and was excited about a new perspective from Ford. Now, with VW, Volvo and others entering the market, my options are expanding.
At this point, what we need is direct communication from Ford with a sensible pricing program!

Wow this thread is growing faster than I can read it!!

Can't seem to sign in on ford.com at the moment...all you guys logging in has turned into a denial of service attack!
I can't access the Ford portal from my mobile but I can get in from laptop. I see the $3000 reduction on MSRP today.

I don't think us "drop" order customers will see any email. Has any drop customer managed to get the FE drop order listed online at Ford?

Actually makes some sense to me in a weird sort of way. If I remember correctly, Ford sent out a questionnaire to the dealers asking about preferred incentives. From a dealer's perspective....if demand is very high, then an ideal scenario might be to have a bunch of First Editions that are not matched to a buyer plus a bunch of people that are quite happy to pay much less and wait for their Premiums, RT1 etc. This would make it easier for the dealer to set the price for these First Editions without owners to match current demand. ADM.

I have a feeling you'll be underwhelmed by the email.

Are you complaining because a price reduction ? lol. Besides the additional hardware, and higher priority, first editions always command a premium and hold there value better.
