Perhaps Ford will throw in some extras for the FE's. Might not be in design, but maybe in perks. One can hope. I was hoping they would change the front motor to something between the Premium and GT.
I suspect Ford sees the real "extra" is in earlier delivery vs most of the Premiums (at least it better be after all this). There's definitely some value in that, and frankly if it wasn't for that, I'd cancel my FE and jump right back to the Premium in a heartbeat.

Soaking the early adopters that are willing to spend more just to be first in line actually makes some sense for them. Frankly, I'm very surprised they're lowering prices now. It appears they had plenty of demand at the old prices. But by jacking up the FE option by $2000, they sort of are taking partial advantage of the hottest-to-buy segment of the market (although it appears there's only a few thousand FEs).

It's not that we don't like the FE at a lower price, it is that we made a decision of which model to buy based on features AND price. The features have not changed, but the price has. I was willing to pay a bit more for Grabber Blue, but not over $3000 more. If I had to have Grabber Blue or the FE had some special feature, then it wouldn't be much of a choice. But there really isn't a huge difference in Premium vs FE so the value for the difference in price is not worth it. And for those that don't care about Grabber Blue, there is even less reason to tick with a FE.
Not sure why @ajmartineau can't get this through his head. It's not that hard to comprehend.

I am not able to access the reservations section of Ford.com right now? Seems like their website is having some issues, it took forever to log in, and now the reservations section is blank for me.

As for the price drop -- I'm guessing they anticipate having surplus capacity later in the 2021 model year after all reservations have either been filled or canceled. I think everyone here would be pretty irate if they rolled out a multi-thousand $ discount next summer to move the last of the 2021s off the dealer lots. Glad Ford is doing the right thing now and adjusting the prices for the entire model year now. I'm guessing we'll see the 2022s go even lower on price across all the trims.

I just sent Ford an email as well. We're still far away from delivery day but still I want to know that they are keeping up with the info. I went online and there was no price change on the Canadian site. You'd figure they's apply the rebate world wide since everybody is informed these days.
Might take a weeks or more to see any changes on ford.ca?

I think that is how a lot of us feel. I did send an email today to the [email protected] address to see if they would respond to my question about adding amenities, perks, or performance metrics for the FEs. Pretty easy for them to do for minimal, if any, cost and it would make us feel a lot better.
Interior protect package added to the FE package would be a nice (small) mitigater that would help a little.

Hopefully, the residual value will reflect that and not be lumped into the premium models. Not that I plan on getting rid of the car anytime soon. Knowing I will live for another 40+ years with another 30+ years of driving, this won't be the last car I own.

I doubt it, if you do the Math the orders are filled up to 2023. With over 80000 orders, they filled up all of 2021 (50k orders + demos). Which leaves all of 2021 to fill up 10000 orders for 2022 which will go quickly once the car is seen on the road. I dont think they are worried about surplus, they're are worried about being priced out of the market and therefore orders being cancelled

Great point. I think everything (anything) helps. You should email them that. Not sure that is something that everyone wants, but I was going to order it after I got the car.

In all honesty, I ordered a premium and for those that ordered an FE, they should get every single accessory included on that car. After all it is a First Edition and should be FULLY LOADED

I got back on my Ford Account and they have now corrected it back to show the $1,000 MSRP reduction that their Pricing Page shows for the First Edition.

Actually, I don’t have a problem with that --- happy to get a $1,000 off the price I paid on a vehicle that Ford sold out of in just a few days.

I agree, but not sure what is left to add. I think the Bronco FE has a lot of bells & whistles which is why it is at the top of the pricing.

I'm not normally one that thinks Ford should throw in perks just because we want them. I usually kind of scoff when someone says that. But in this case, they just went from charging $1600 for the FE package to $3600, so adding something to justify that would sure seem logical.

I'm very happy about this, and would welcome additional discounts with open arms.

The downsides:

1. Some of the FE reservists will back down and get Infinite Blue Mustangs. Stay away from Infinite Blue! That's just for me.

2. Infinite Blue real world samples have been not-very-attractive, so far. So I keep second guessing but I don't want any of the other colors either. Especially now since we're reminded that order mods are still possible. There was an AMAZING photo of an Iconic Silver with the broken frunk hood in Ontario, I think... But on reality, I look at silver cars that aren't professionally detailed like that one and they're just... whatever. Same with white and off-white. And the red is not for me. Nor the black. So whatever, I stick with muddy gray blue.

3. Extended range is only $2,000 more now. Ok, not really. But you know what I mean. The analytical part of my brain (which is shrinking every year, it seems) is telling me to stick with standard range. So I shall. But days like this one cause me to think it over again.

Yeah or perhaps offer the first few OTA updates free or something of value - otherwise this is just the value of perceived benefit of early availability.
