It's interesting what Ford has done and peoples' reactions from a human psychology point of view.

There is actually a known phenomenon of people being displeased about not getting as much as others, even when they are objectively getting a better deal than they had before. Basically, people would often prefer to be treated fairly and justly, to the point of giving up a financial benefit to keep everyone on an equal footing.

I think that began with tesla, and apple years ago. Now some are just programmed that way. It's also why a lot of ppl lease cars and don't buy them.

What I've heard is coming won't shock anyone, but it should be a very good thing. When I know more definitively on timing I'll give ya'll a heads up, even if I can't say what it is. Or maybe it'll come out on it's own..... who knows..... what a crazy day.

Well if I get tired of the GB fe, I might switch over the a Dark Matter GT if I ever see a real pic of one. then again, I like the bright colors and might want to stick with GB which I saw in person as a GT and loved.

Just got a call from my dealer. Yup, on the order that he sees online now it shows $1,000 less on my FE. Sent an email to Ford just letting them politely know my point of view on how they structured this. Will be surprised if I get an answer, but stranger things have happened. Yes, I am happy about $1,000 less. No I am not happy about $3,600 more for a First Edition. Right now I am sitting pat to see what else happens. I've spent enough energy on this for now.

I can definitely think of Bells & Whistles they could throw in.

Free wireless hotspot for 3 years would be good. Being able to see if my Machdrop order really exists and is in work would make me happier about the price issues. Maybe I will get 2 emails today?

Yes, unfortunately Ford fixed mine too. Glad to have a $1,000 price drop and will try not to grumble about the Premiums getting a $3,000 drop.

The news today was very welcome. I have a relatively low reservation number, 100072XX, originally for a Premium AWD/LR, but I threw my name in for the Mach Drop promo. While it would be nice to have an equivalent discount for the FE (if I even get it), I feel like I'm in a pretty good spot either way. It's nice to see the pricing on my MME get closer to the MSRP on my Escape Titanium with the drop plus the tax credit.

A little shocking to see people act like children over this, it’s good news for everyone that prices were dropped regardless of switched orders earlier on.

You are entitled to your opinion but this is a business decision for many and their concern does not merit disparaging comments about how they are or are not “acting”.

I'm starting tag Ford people on Twitter and other social media about the price cut difference fro Premium vs FE. Maybe someone made a mistake or maybe it is intentional. Either way, I'd like to know.
