In my capture it's different cars, from left to right: select, route 1, premium, FE
In your chart, each motor/battery configuration's numbers are the same regardless of model (select, premium, etc). Therefore, my point stands.

I see. I misunderstood what you were saying. Yes, since there is a quartet of configurations there is a quartet of values. Just trying to be helpful

Looks like there are two set of numbers

SR RWD 6.1 SR AWD 5.6 ER RWD 6.2 ER AWD 5.1
SR RWD 5.8 SR AWD 5.2 ER RWD 6.1 ER AWD 4.8
The Compare Specs table and the numbers under the models on the home page have changed. The battery figure hasn't changed.

Except there was no price increase. The FE just didn't drop as far.

I'll just hope for an added bonus thrown in.
The FE package price increased from $1600 to $3600. The Premium base is what went down, by $3000.

When we're referencing the price increase, we're referring to the package upgrade price, not the whole vehicle.

That's true but if you compare my capture of premium versions to your premium version the numbers are different which is odd
I can't get to thew "configure" page anymore, but it is possible that (your) page wasn't updated yet, or the numbers the editor was given were wrong. "my" numbers are from the mach E page "compare specs" button.

So simple to understand but some folks just don’t see it...

The NET price of the FE as a whole went down by $1000. That's based on the Premium base (which it is based from, regardless of whether people are willing to recognize it or not) going down $3000 and the FE package price going up $2000.

I don't get why people don't want to acknowledge that.
I don't think its a matter of people acknowledging it or not. Its the glass is half full vs half empty. Yes the delta between the Premium vs FE has increased. Majority here is looking at the positive and say we are all getting a price break. This change has some question their decision...but remember Ford is letting all of us change our options. You are not forced to stick with the earlier decision. I would say try not to get all worked up over the perceived negative...they are getting a better deal than I am...well then get change to the Premium.

On the original price list, that is how they were split. Not exactly as a $1600 line item, but a $6800 option (equipment group 301a that included FE and ER battery) on top of premium.

I agree, iff ford allows people to switch back from FE to premium after giving this news, they have little to complain about. Are you certain that is the case? In some ways the order was binding, and would such a switch cause them to move to the back of the line, or just the middle of the premium line?

The FE went down in price. You’re being obstinate and deliberately misleading.

Switch to the Premium or the id.4 if $1,000 is not enough for you or you think the limited edition trim elements aren’t worth paying $1,000 less than you were going to be paying just 24 hours ago.

I don't see it that way. I think 99.99% of people will see it as it is, a drop in price for something they already agreed to buy at a higher price. There will always be some malcontents who grown so loudly they make you wonder if the world is going to end.
My comment was in response to comments from this Forum. Representative of the full set of buyers? Probably not.

It appears that it is, based on some of the replies.

What we do with the information is gonna vary from person to person, of course. Some are gonna care about it, some aren't. For some it changes the relative value of the FE upgrade vs the Premium, for others it won't. But none of that changes the fact that the Premium base went down $3000 in price while the FE package upgrade increased $2000 in price. I'm puzzled at how that's controversial to say.

Maybe we just have to spell out "Package upgrade" every time to make it clear what we're referring to.

Question for the experts.
1. Can I upgrade my Premium AWD from standard to long range battery and not lose my place in line?
2. If so, how much extra would that be?
Thanks.

Call your dealer tomorrow - orders will be fixed within weeks. The ER cost is $5000 on top of the SR price, but since the SR price went down by $3000 the additional cost compared to what you were going to spend yesterday is $2000.

I just shot my dealer an e-mail to call me when he can. Curious to know what he sees on his end now. $2,700 cheaper FE would be awesome!

The 'other' mach e forum has a complete document. Took the info of interest...

Can a customer change their order specs now that pricing has changed?
Yes. Customers can change their order spec if they so choose – they may want to apply the price reduction to a larger battery, AWD or even a trim level change. All order spec changes must be done by the dealer in WBDO. The customer cannot change their order on Ford.com.
