Do we trust this new number?
compare spec says 4.8 for premium AWD ER
BUTTTTT
the model configurator says 5.1

???
from what I understand the 4.8 is quoted with 1 foot roll out which is about 0.3 seconds different than the stand still time. Might explain the 5.1? 50 to 90 is more of interest to me as I do not like spending too much time sitting in on coming traffic. Looks like they are going to be quick.

I will confuse the issue with an email I received from Ford-UK today.

2 Ford test data based on testing methodology using 1-ft rollout i.e. from a rolling start.

3 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT available in Europe end of 2021. Target Ford test data based on testing methodology using 1-ft rollout i.e. from a rolling start.

4.8 sec includes 1ft rollout. Not sure about the 5.1.
Various parts of the website don't agree right now. I trust the specs page and the home page. They both say 4.8.

My first car was a 1961 Ford Falcon wagon with a straight six. I could beat that car in a quarter mile from a standing start.
0-60? Not sure it could make it to 60.
My first car was a 1965 Rambler American with a transplanted 220 CI inline six. It could do the run in eight seconds if I did it (I never did).

My first car I bought was a short-lived stripped down chevy spectrum. They had a funny commercial where some comedian stated it had sports car type specs, and in big print at the bottom it said "downhill in a hurricane".

Within a year I traded it in on my first mustang

I care the most about that very last number...
165 watts per kilometer for "combined energy use"
That converts to 3.77 miles per kilowatt. ... 3.77 times battery size...331 miles
610km converts to 381 miles.

common on EPA the bets are in...

That is odd. WLTP range should be 331 miles (532 km) by that calculation, not 381.

I wonder if the "range" number is accidentally using the full 98.9 kWh battery instead of the 88 usable? That would be off a bit too (372) but a lot closer.

Weird.

The amount of energy used may be from the wall. Assuming a 10% loss, which I've just made up but shouldn't be off by too much, the range would be close to 300 miles.

That said, Ford has bettered all their target spaces so far, so not a shock if the final range beat the target.

Looking at these numbers, I'm seriously considering using my $3,000 "savings" to change my order from Premium ER RWD to Premium ER AWD.

Is it true I can do this up until Oct 15th without messing up my place in the queue?

Oct 15th isn't a hard/truly known date but you can change your order. Yesterday my dealer changed my Select to a Route 1 and the order number/order date stayed the same - it was a case of editing a line item on the order and not cancelling/adding a new one.
