Extreme cold is worse on EV batteries and range than extreme heat. That is concerning if they only mention heat.Warrantied to 70% after 8 years, 100k miles. In one of the interviews I saw, I believe they said 70% of range and that was under the worst conditions possible. Meaning, daily extreme heat with exclusive DC fast charging.
I've never heard a Leaf or Tesla owner complain of battery degradation from cold. You lose range/power, sure. However, the physical and chemical damage to cells is from heat.Extreme cold is worse on EV batteries and range than extreme heat. That is concerning if they only mention heat.
Thank you so much, this is what I need it!And, here is the complete Technical Specs sheet where you can find the information, under "Battery System" on the 2nd page.
The battery will last longer than the warranty. A new car warranty is 3 years or 36,000 miles but we expect the vehicle to last 3 to 6 times that amount. Not to say that the battery will last that long but I consider the warranty period to be the minimum battery life span not the maximum. So if the battery lasts around eight years or 100,000 miles, what does it cost to replace the battery? Can we get a extra warranty to cover the battery for a longer period of time.
