Not saying it's not but I'd like to see where the door line comes down. It matters for those of us with 2 little kids in car seats. ;)

If you look at those images, I clearly see the rear door line

Thanks! It was hard to tell with these work monitors. In the first couple shots they look decent size, so that's a nice thing. Can't wait to see side view pictures soon!

Can't wait too, I have a Subaru Outback because I need space but 300$ / month just for fuel is a lot of money, and I miss my old WRX performance :) If it's big enough I'll trade my outback

You are correct. Those angles do show the rear door lines much better. False alarm!

These spy pics makes be kinda mad! We Mustang S550 owners gave Ford what it needed to get the top selling vehicle back... Sales of the S550 which topped GM and Dodge. My GT was delivered in December 2014. I loved the new design and the car. Then Ford released the Taurus with what looked like the front grill of my Mustang! Now, these spy shots show the MACH E with the tri-bar tail lights of my Mustang. What the heck Ford... Can't you leave the S550 design to us Mustang owners? Why do you have to take bits and pieces to use on your other vehicles. In my opinion, it makes my S550 less unique in the Ford Line-up! GM did this by taking Corvette C7 tail light design and put it on the Camero. Vette owners were not at all happy. This seems like attempt by the auto makers to reuse existing designs and part inventories. I suggest, if Ford wants to continue with brand loyalty, they need keep vehicle designs relegated to the car they were made for. I get the Hybrid idea, but not with my car's design.

I agree it being a small crossover will help it achieve a 300 EPA range without a Leviathan of a Battery Pack. Due to the nature of the BEV's you can extend the wheelbase far further than on ICE cars. Let's say in theory this is the size of an Escape it could have the passenger space of an Edge. One thing I can say is the Model Y is turning out to be a much bigger can than expected. Honestly, I don't expect the two to be direct rivals due to the Model Y being a much bigger car.

Rough comparison to a Model 3 and BMW X5

I’d be interested in knowing how the Mach E compares to the Model Y, size wise. I know it won’t be a behemoth of an SUV, but hoping passenger space (leg, hip, and head room) is pretty decent.

It's all about sales I wouldn't be surprised if they introduce the car as the Mustang Mach E. Name recognition is everything that's why Ford Renamed the Five Hundred the Taurus. That would make the Mustang it's own division with probably more to come. GM is hinting Corvette may get it's own suv also so if the Mach E is a success I would bet on it happening.

I would hope the lack of door handles doesn't mean it's like the Tesla Frunk, where the only way to open it is with your phone. I can't imagine an SUV with only 2 doors. SV perhaps, but not much Utility in this. I'm curious what the range will be. And hopefully Ford learned from Toyota to keep the batteries between 20% and 80%. Completely charging or discharging may temporarily extend the range, but at the expense of severely reduced battery life. My Prius has a leaking head gasket, but I'm not going to put another 2 grand into a car with a 10 year old battery pack. That could go any time.

Too bad it's a Ford, where the only thing that runs is the logo. That poor pony. It's saying get me off of this Ford!
I've driven new Ford's since 1982 and my latest is a 2019 Ranger as far s I'm concerned Ford makes the best vehicles.

WTF is going on here..? Why are we talking about not seeing rear doors..?

Just because someone sees a spyshot of a pre-production Mach E with dazzle tape all over it...? (That is what the tape is for, to hide the car's features and appearance.)

Not to mention, we already saw the CAD drawing and official FORD press releases, confirming what we already know, a 4-door hatchback...!

I drive an Edge Sport tuned. In comparison, I like the smaller size of the Mach E better, and I am sure the performance will be that close to the Mustang GT.

How suited it is for racing, will be offset by it's utility.

As far as Ford reusing Mustang styling for this vehicle, then I'm all for it. The mustang is an alright looking car, but I would hope people buy mustangs because they also believe in Ford. Sorry to say, but in order for a company to be successful, you're going to have to reuse some parts. Waaaaay too much money would be spent in R&D in order to develop all new stylings for all new cars. Just a dumb business move. I want to see Ford succeed, so if they reuse some parts, go for it. Just try not to use any parts of my focus. I want to see a good car, like I said. lol
