Dealers are not allowed to order FE. Can a worker at a dealer order one for themself? Yes, be kinda weird if not. A dealer is not allowed to order one to sale though.

That was the first FE built on the line that will be sold to a customer.
Dealer FCTP are not finished yet and are being built now. What ford is doing is working a few FE down the line to build with the dealer demo vehicles.

Why? I think I explained this to everyone once before. Certain models of a vehicle take longer to build going down the line than other models. So to keep the line running they will run say 3 to 5 of a certain trim level then build a FE.

The demo models are not done yet, no sir. In fact, ford has been getting into dealers ass. Some didn't turn in their order for the dealer FCTP, or did it wrong, or then call and want changes.
Some dealers just are lost in the process.

As far as the first edition 3,000 goes. That is the number that was on the report from dearborn. I did push the issue and asked about the mache drop numbers. didn't see it anywhere but two of my engineer friends said they are not included in the 3,000. So how many are in the Mache drop sorry can't say, people. I do know that ford had extra parts manufactured. The decision was either to scrap the parts or to make more. So whoever does get a FE from the mache drop ford did that right.

Yes, some dealers will not see A FE that is a fact. My dealer won't. Only have 3 Mache orders.

The heat pump is not a done deal but in talks. Trying to get more mileage for the GT with the power it has.

OKTB is still the same date and the same rules. DEMO models are the same they won't leave the lot also.

Thank you for the update. So basically we can just sit back and enjoy the pics and reports of ones coming off the line in Oct and Nov without worrying about the different trims and whether they're customer vs FCTP units, because they all just queue up in the lots and wait for Nov 23 OKTB before shipping starts.

The game at that point will be about shipping order. Although I assume they can ship more per week than they can build, so they can catch up pretty fast.

Is there going to press release on where that first FE is going?

Thanks @trutolife27 ! One clarification: is that 3,000 North American First Editions our total worldwide?

@trutolife27 can you find out when the first boat to Europe (Bremerhaven I guess) is planned and with what models and numbers?

Thanks for the details, as always.
I had long suspected the First Editions would not be assembled exclusively but mixed in with other Premiums and possibly even other trim levels. Thanks for the clarification and validation there.

What I read into that example is that not all NA First Editions are guaranteed to be in the 11/23 OKTB group.

Ford has said many times that the First Editions would be the first delivered. Whether they arrive along with Premiums was never clarified. Either way, I expect the FEs to be produced in time for the 11/23 OKTB shipments, probably with dealer demos.

Agree with the first sentence. Not as sure about the last though. There's 7 full weeks from now until Nov 23. Not sure what the pace of production is yet, but I would hope they could get virtually all the demos and NA FEs in, plus start on some others. (Short of some big hitch derailing progress.)

"Guaranteed" is a strong word though. Maybe not every single one, but I guess it just depends on how soon they get production in gear. Hopefully we'll get a per-day or per-week pace count this week.

@trutolife27 i havent been on this forum for long but Ive been pretty active since joining and I have to say sincerely thank you for doing everything you are doing. Ford doesn't realize how much you are helping them in keeping their customers happy and on top of it you're doing it for FREE. Thank you very much. I wish there was a way we could let Ford know how much you are helping them.

I mean, why don’t you just ask him who killed Kennedy and where the aliens are being kept while you’re at it. The point is, the guy is going out of his way to provide good info, let’s not take advantage and potentially get him in trouble with his superiors.

As a customer, i think I’d be pretty riled up if I see premiums being delivered before the first editions.
