To summarize the events here:

Mach-E GT - 270 mi EPA range - 82ºF - 75 mph in traffic

Some of the readings were interpolated between shots. It's time to stop when you get the red battery and SSN warning. You can only go a couple miles further if absolutely necessary. The turtle icon is your last warning, pull over and save the energy so you can drive on the tow truck.

Overall the range was great, but nobody should be stupid enough to try to continue after 0%.

Why do people post videos of morons?
I can't speak for other people but since you ask and I'm the one who posted this video I will answer. This guy usually does a great job on his videos highlighting Ford products from the dealership in Alabama where he works. I believe that what he posted on this subject is informative and of interest to some on this forum. But hey, maybe it's not for you. :cool:

Thanks this is a great breakdown of what occurred on his trip, no pun intended. I wish he didn't have to stop at the stop sign and we could have actually seen how far the car would have kept rolling before turning off.

Anyone who intentionally drives a vehicle past where it says zero range left, whether EV or ICE, is a moron and deserves what he/she gets. People have videoed themselves doing this in ICE vehicles for years. Stupid. And telling the world that they are stupid.

Thank you, that's a good way to put it, once I get my Mach E even though I will never run it that far or even close it's nice to know what it can do if ever needed.

Just to defend the Moron getting to 0% you have to make it to the next charger. I had a scare think I would arrive at next charger with 30 miles to spare. I watched the extra 30 dwindle to, uh oh, i am not going to make it. There was no chargers between the last one to the next one. Not even sure there was even a level 2. I slowed down and made it with 3% left. I had a plan to stop at 1% and get towed if I really wasn't going to make it. Speed, weather, and terrain can make a big differance. There are spots chargers can be far apart.

Yes, even though he did not use the best judgement in his technique I found the information very informative as to what actually happens when this thing runs out of juice. We all know what ICE vehicles do but it's interesting to see how the Mach E reacts to no juice, other than just stopping that is. :cool:
