Tesla just increased range to over 350 EPA Miles, I bet MME has a nice surprise in store also!!

Ford slashed prices to be more competitive, range is the next area they need to surprise to be competative. They need to get the MME out now, each passing month the competition keeps improving

I mean I have no desire to buy a Model Y over a Model 3 (if I was buying another Tesla), but I will say that now even with the price cut last month, Mach-E now feels overpriced again.

Unless the AWD range comes in over 300... the AWD ER price is still too high now even with the cut.

Model Y's range boost was pretty modest going from 316 miles to 326. Maybe something like an additional 2-3 kWh unlocked? The Model 3 improvements are pretty significant with the new heat pump, aero wheels and some other tweaks.

This puts a bit more pressure on the Mach-E to come out with an EPA range figure that starts with a 3. The optics don't look great the further Tesla gets away from 300.

An 'increase' seems unlikely as to my knowledge the actual EPA range hasn't been announced, so once announced it will be what it is.

An increase over estimates has been alluded to for months.

To actually see the vehicle in order to see the EPA range estimate? What do you mean?

Not when the value proposition is that different. I can get a 353 mile Model 3 for less than a "270 est" Mach-E. That automatically makes the Mach-E a harder sell.

That's why the Polestar 2 is DOA in the US. It might be a great car, but for $10k more than Model 3 with more than a 100 mile lower range.

I like the looks of the Mach-E better for sure, that's why I ordered one.

But that range had better start with a 3 for AWD ER variants or I hope another $2-3k MSRP cut is coming.

The Model 3 is a much smaller car so the 350 is irrelevant to the Mach-E. But the Y jump to 326 is interesting. Almost like they timed it right for when the Mach-E is (presumably) about to release it's EPA range. Maybe Tesla found out the number, and it's just above 316? (But below 326)

Yes but since Ford doesn't make "cars" anymore, I have to compare Model 3 to Mach-E. That was Ford's choice.

Or maybe just more maneuvering within the EPA rules of testing. Sort of like a tax accountant designing a company's finances to fit the tax code loopholes.

Actually it's your choice. The rest of us know the Y is the more comparable vehicle.

Yep. Still anxiously awaiting road trip range from real world drivers.
